Hi ya Valeo !

Enormous day

Do you realize that this crisis will be write in history books ! AWESOME ! And we see with our yeyes, UNBELIEVABLE !

A nice short on the cable, and a bad long on the GY ( - 35 pips) and a very nice short on the GY.

That's it, we can't make 100 % positive with none system.

But the result are beautifull anyway, look at that, the cable is very smoth

Great thanks again Valeo

Well, firstly let me say that the market was sideways most of the morning and therefore it needs to make a clean break out before one attempts to trade it. I for one tried 4 times (+1 / +14 / +5 and +38) starting with a short followed by 3 consecutive Longs, before the final short which generated +243 pips.

So my advice to you is, stay out of such low volume / volatility trades until it breaks out.

Also, notice how close the 100-EMA was to the price? When it breaks out like the first one you marked @ 11h15 the Williams' on M5 was clearly way too "HOT" so I gave the next candle the opportunity to show me whether the trade was in fact on or not.

Next entries marked:..........the price stayed between the 8-EMA (60M) Low and the 100-EMA. Why would you want to consider tarding it?

Secondly, when you hit days like this morning, switch to the M-15 TF. That will help you and that is how I made my +38 pips Long.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Thanks Joe. Would you mind telling me why the GY "bombed out"? Surely the entry could not have been so bad?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes.

CCi-5 levels on M5 TF

After a ア140 pip trade, I think most of us are drinking some hot beverage, Joe and Gerhard propbably a coffee.

For those of you who trade the CCi-indicator with my suggested settings (and believe me there are who do not trade the CCi at all), here is a suggested change as far as the levels of "ALERT" goes.

On the candles, strictly in the following order, load 2 of the #CCi_ALERT-5_Silent.mq4. Settings @ ア145 and make that colour YELLOW to signify "ALERT" much as when you approach a traffic light and it changes to AMBER (Yellow) to warn you that it is changing to RED.

The second one should be set at the normal ア165 and mine is WHITE because that is how I have had it all along. (You may want to change this colour to one that you prefer, say Red for instance).

I also notice that when the CCi-5 reaches the ア130 levels, the chances are very good that the price will retrace, so I try not to enter a trade when the CCi-5 has dipped below ア130-levels and wait for a "better" price and in most cases, I get it within a couple of candles.

So, I have 3 levels on my CCi-5 as per the attached example. I do NOT have to look at the CCi-5 again when it reaches the ア130-level for once it has gone beyond that level, I will ignore the trade and just wait for confirmation from the candles where the #CCi_ALERT-5 will show up and then you start looking for an opportunity to enter the trade.

These are little "nuances" that makes trading the CCi-5 a pleasure.

Feel free to comment and ask questions if there is anything not clear to you.

Best wishes.

I apologise for the large example, but I could not get the smaller version to save properly.

Well, what can I say? With pips like yours, you may be on holiday 4 times a year! Well done, my friend. Maybe you can show me how to trade 2 different currencies - I only concentrate on GBP/USD as you know.

I use the 15-EMA アspread ア1 as my stop. I do not use this as an exit though, like someone suggested he had done a couple of days ago. Read the chart and look for reasons other than the 8-EMA to get out, such as Pivots; Fibs, etc. The clues are there for the picking imho.

Best wishes always.

No, I don't think this has much to do with being greedy, my friend. I would NOT have traded where you did for 2 main reasons:

1. The 100-EMA was too close.
2. The CCi-setup were borderline overheated (are you using the #CCI_Alert_5-Silent on your candles? It has saved my bacon many a time.
3. Check where the Williams' was - overheated and now pointing down for a retrace. Had you waited 1 more candle, you would have had a better price and the chances of a neg. trade negated.

Nevertheless, you did very well yesterday and today but I like to learn from my mistakes and therefore I asked about your neg. trade.

Best wishes.

Hi Pug124,

Would you mind commenting on my "comments" regarding your questions here? Do you agree or better still, do you see what I am referring to?

Best wishes.
