Hi Joe, by now you should know that I only post when I have a contribution to make and I am not sure that it is the correct one as yet. Regret the delay, but ultimately it is you who stands to benefit.

Enjoy your weekend ahead.

Best wishes to all.

New XO-5 oscillator.........

Here is the XO-5 requested by BigJoe. Reason why is that it will replace one oscillator and therefore fewer windows below the candles.

Secondly, I am convinced that it works as well as the 4TF_XO in generating signals as I have been trading it live as mentioned.

For your consideration however, I feel that we cannot wait for the H4 or 60M-charts to close before trading if everything else is in agreement. Therefore, the KirPER settings are slightly different to what I proposed earlier, but it seems to generate better "quality" signals. On this XO-5 the TFs are obviously from 5M to 240M and the KirPERs are therefore 6.5 / 6.5 / 6.5 / 4.5 / 4.5 where the last 2 represent the H1 and H4 TFs.

I want you to know that I have only changed my settings over the weekend and have therefore no real-time data other then this morning's trade where I banked +20 pips using the new settings.

I will understand if you feel it to be "risky", but bear in mind that I have used the KirPER settings of 4,5 for 12 months on the H1 and H4-charts before I changed it to 6.5 which is a better setting if you trade on the H1 chart or H4 chart for that matter.

I am NOT including a new Template here as many of you may want to try out the XO_5 first, but the Oscillator is attached with thanks to my friend Gerhard (DayTrader)

Your comments and real-time results will be much appreciated. I will also post my 60M-chart in a while today.

Best wishes.

My 60M-chart........

This is my 60M-chart from where I take my cue for entries on the 5M. Everything revolves around the H1 and H4 charts for me, hence my posting this chart here. They help me decide the DIRECTION of the expected trades.

I have zipped the entire set-up for convenience and it also includes a screen-print to show you what it should look like.

I wanted to use the MACD for research purposes and therefore had no extra space for it other than loading it in the RSI-window. So, please forgive me for “cluttering up” the RSI-window, but it serves a purpose at least for now.

Personally I feel it is pretty self-explanatory and I urge you to look back into the last couple of months to see how accurate it is. Should you have any questions, feel free to ask or advise.

I would appreciate your comments (and improvements) on this chart even if you do not trade the XO-method. (Incidentally, the XO in use here, does NOT repaint for those who want to know).

Best wishes.

Improved version of my H1-chart...........

I have zipped the entire set-up for convenience and it also includes a screen-print to show you what it should look like.

In the previous post, I used a version of the MACD for research purposes and therefore had no extra space for it other than loading it in the RSI-window. So, this time I removed it as my research has been completed and I found no need for the MACD.

However, I added the 14_RSI over the RSI-5 and I use that when it crosses as a signal.

The signal must however be confirmed as follows:

1. Once the RSI-5 crossed the RSI-14 and closed above/below the RSI-14, and the CCI-13 (NOTE THE CHANGE IN CCI SETTINGS PLSE) is NOT @ ア350-level and the RSI-5 is NOT >90 or <10 (“overheated” in my terminology), the trade is on.

2. However, if BOTH are overheated (RSI @ >90/<10 and CCI-13 @ ア350-level) there is NO TRADE or if you were in the trade, get out immediately.

3. The reason for changing the CCI-settings is very simple and I am sorry that it took me so long to understand Woody who only uses the 14/6 CCI settings. I now fully understand how to use the 5-CCI (it only shows you directional changes and therefore I have added a level @ ア170 for my MT4 server [you may have to experiment with yours, but it should not be more than ア10 points in it]). Like Woody, we ignore the 5-CCI other than that it will inform us as to what the trade is up to and how it will affect our trade. Excellent for re-confirmation and re-entries.

4. The 13-CCI is what we are interested in as we use the 13-EMA on the candles. So whenever the CCI-13 “overheats” we take note and depending on the position of the RSI-5, we exit immediately or stay in until we have fully exploited the trade.

5. We use the 55-EMA to tell us the direction of the trade, that is why we no longer need to pay attention to longer settings of the CCI such as the 55/13 used before. We can see where we are on the candles, all we need to see is what is happening inside the trade.

Personally I feel it is much clearer now for everyone to see and I once again urge you to look back into the last couple of months to see how accurate it is. Should you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I would appreciate your comments (and improvements) on this chart even if you do not trade the XO. (Incidentally, the XO used here, does NOT repaint for those who want to know).

Best wishes.

Regretably unable to load the Zipfile this morning. I managed to get the Screen-print up in the meantime. Will try later again. Sorry.

Ben, that is unfortunately out of my scope as I am not a programmer, but I am sure if you ask the guys over at the Thread specialising in Alerts / Alarms, they will be kind enough to do that for you. If not, let me know and I can approach one gentleman who is excellent, but very busy. He has yet to refuse a reasonable request and has helped me beyond call of duty.

Best wishes.
