Hi Jerome,

I suggest you start at Post 1 of this new Thread and read it maybe twice to get a good feel for what I am doing.

The only area where you may "struggle" unless you are familiar with the CCi-indicator, is the interpretation thereof.

In the very next Post I will show you what a great indicator it is and why we should not trade without it. Also, I have discovered nuances / variations that has opened my eyes to far superior entries and I hope that you will be able to benefit from the next post.

Best wishes.

An improved look at the CCi...

I want to show you an improved way of trading the CCi-5 - improved in the sense that your entries will be "safer" providing that you have patience!

I moved my MAX/MIN-levels from 165 (remember that the true value is 166.66) to 163 for the ##CCI_Alert-5 which runs on the candles and creates a White "cap" around the top/bottom of the candle such as you see on a number of candles here.

Secondly, I changed the overheating levels on the indicator to ±135 as I have noticed that when the CCi-5 hits this level (before overheating and mostly does not carry on to overheating anyway!) and will not trade until the CCi-5 has retraced to above/below the zero-line and then take the entry upon crossing the zero-line from above/below.

Example #1 the CCi-5 was too close to the -135 line @ 06h40 and the correct entry was @ 07h20 when the CCi-5 came back through the zero-line at #2.

#3 was correct.

#4. was an excellent entry and so was #5 as a re-entry.

BUT look at the clear indication for the short #6 @ 11h05.

I suggest you make the necessary changes and study the entries.

Best wishes for better entries.

Hi Joe,

Always good to hear from you! I am just fine thanks other than that we are in the middle of winter and freezing at times, but I guess we are very fortunate with the weather that we have. Days are beautiful and nights are very cold but not what you guys are used to I guess.

If you are in St. Tropez, please send us a picture of the girls on the beaches.

How is your 15-M template generating?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes.

Some fine tuning regarding ...

Hi guys,

Trust you have all been successful in trading this method. It has been very quiet ever since I posted the last Post and I am not even sure whether there are still any interest in what I am doing.

I have found however, that the TEMA has to be set @ 34 (and not 21) for better results.

Secondly, add a "regular" 15-EMA to the candles which will tell you when to bail out of a trade together with the oscillators below. (I used to advocate the 8-EMA for exits, but the 15-EMA maximises the trades)

Also, change the SSL_Channel to 21 (from 15) and you will even be happier.

BTW, I found the setting of the Schaff Trend Cycle to be 5,15,34 on M5. Should you still use it, change it immediately for better performance, please.

Let us see whether or not we can resurrect this Thread, but if you guys are not interested, it will not be a train smash as I am trading it successfully and continue to improve it.

Wishing you success always.

Talking Hi Valeo

Very glad to see you back.

Would you please post a couple of recent trades with your
updated current setup so we can see the full screen
as you have done before. I would love to see the
live current version with your setup now.

Brian
