Hi, I don't understand if with this tool it's possible to test an EA write in mql4 language.
If yes, can you explain how do work it ?

Hi gbolla,

No it is not directly possible to test mql EA in ForexTester, you have to convert it in Delphi code according to the Interface provide by ForexTester. The same for Indicators.

I need someone with strong English skills who can check my help and correct mistakes. Will give him registration key for free.

These docs about how to write indicators and strategies for ForexTester in Delphi. Also I wrote some indicators SMA, EMA, WMA, Stochastic, MACD, Ishimoku, Bollinger bands, RSI. Also another user wrote indicators: FATL, FTLS_STLM, PCCI. Will update soon.

Writing help for program.

Just a little question Terranin.

The Frame M30 is only available for registered user or it is normal that we can't choose this time frame ?

I did not implemented this timeframe. In next versions it will be with ability to construct your own timeframes like 35 min, 48 min .. etc.

Hi Terranin,

I'm testing ForexTester and it seems to have a problems in EA testing.

Have attach 2 screenshoots.

First is the chart testin the EA on ForexTester, and second is the Journal.

As you can see on 2006.4.26 at 15h00, normaly we have :

Open = 1.7840
Close = 1.7851
High = 1.7875
Low = 1.7837

Here, I log these values with that peace of delphi code in the GetSingleTick procedure:

Print('SMA: ' + FloatToStr(sma) + ' | Open: ' + FloatToStr(Open(0)) + ' | Close: ' + FloatToStr(Close(0)) + ' | High: ' + FloatToStr(High(0)) + ' | Low: ' + FloatToStr(Low(0)));

But as a result in Journal window I have these values :

Open = 1.7840
Close = 1.7875 <---- Problem :-(
High = 1.7875
Low = 1.7837

So, if you can tell me where is the problem

Just at that moment when you print string to the journal bar maybe was not finished and close price was different. In progress "close" reflects the current price, when bar is closed "close" will reflect the close bar price.

New version 1.0 beta build 2.

Changes:
1. Ability to stop loading data in "Define date to start" dialog with Disconnect button.
2. Ability to paint histograms in indicators.
3. Corrected error with setting minus swap in currency properties.
4. Corrected error with import historical data.
5. Included 4 currency with filled 1 month history.
6. Added indicators RSI, MACD, Ishimoku, Bollinger Bands.
