New build 4 placed at www.forextester.com.

New updates:
1. Added ability to paint indicators with symbol (for example fractals).
2. Added new indicators: Volume, ADX, ATR, Williams %R, Fractals.
3. Added new item to main menu - "Edit".
4. You can place orders from popup menu of the paint tool properties.
5. Added credit shoulder option to options menu.

Hi Terranin,

can your tester be used to test a simple Breakout strategy ?

ie; from a given time range measure the High & Low during that range. Then go long 10 pips above the High or 10 pips below the Low of that range ?

It could be used to test any strategy.

Thanks Terranin for the great effort in helping many members with such a good testing tool. I will defintely use it to test different combination of indicators for optimization of trade performance.

Btw do you have any recommended free signal provider(s)? thanks in advance for the reply.

You are welcome.
If you mean providers who send free signals to open/close position - I can not recommend such providers, they are all want money.

I present new tool that will be included in next release of ForexTester (this week) - strategy optimizer. It can test strategies written with ForexTester API, change its parameters with defined step, collect all statistics and parameters of every test and shows it in form of diagrams.

Sorry for the misunderstanding of my request. What I want is the free signal to be used for backtesting of the indicators with your good tool. Hence I no need any forward testing as I can do it in the demo account.

Placed new build to the site - 5

Code:

Ver 1.0 Build 5  (27.07.2006)

1.  Added new indicator - Alligator B.Williams.
2.  Cosmetic changes of the interface.
3.  Corrected mistake when grid was painted with thick lines.
4.  Added strategy optimizer tool (File->Strategy optimizer).
5.  Added option to disable logging during fast test to increase testing speed.
6.  Added new mode for moving average - "Smoothed" SSMA.
7.  After double click on the open position or in history records this position 
    will be marked on the diagram with a vertical line and price will be marked 
    with circle.
8.  Open positions will be marked with circle on the diagram.
9.  Added new color schemes.
10. Some changes in representing history on the chart, before history was marked 
    only by Bid prices, now it uses Bid and Ask prices. So sometimes position 
    marks could be out of price bar, just keep in mind spread.
