well, till someone codes a EA, it would be pretty hard to manually test this system and optimise it.

I am testing various systems presently and this system is in the background as there is very little response. I would have loved to see this system through and make something out of this.

Thanks for your interest though
There are so many EAs to look at and try develop here, it is better then being in a candy store. Most chaps are just max'd out at the moment - but I'm sure this system is on many guys todo list.

Thanks guys for all your response.

I know that all the programmers are swamped with so many projects and they are all cramped for time.

We will wait patiently till someone comes up with the EA.

IGORAD, we will wait for your EA and then try and brainstorm this.

Till then cheers to Larry Williams.

He has based his system on the stock market. Mainly commodities and S&P,
we are just trying to adapt it to the fx markets. That is why we require the EA so that we can optimise it. As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, The main trading time is Eur and NY sessions, so it would be logical to take the range for these times for calculations. Let us see how it works out taking 00hrs CET as the range calculation time.Eyeballing the charts with 00hrs, its not looking too great, I must say, but what we are looking for is overall profatibility.

Thanks and happy trading. If any of you are looking for his book to download for free, plz do a search on this forum, I have posted the link somewhere.

Cheers

Hi,

I have developed SimpleDailyRangeBreakExpert_v1 by Larry Williams with TDW filter and original exit rule (Bail Out).
Try to optimize input data please.

Igor.

Anyway, here's an indicator showing the buy/sell points and their exits.
Upper blue is long entry. Lower blue is long exit.
Lower red is short entry. Upper red is short exit.

You can change the 70%/50% values. You can run this on any timeframe up to daily and it will show the 70/50 values for the day. Let me know if you find any bugs.

Keris

Great job on this. Is there any way to make it see friday and sundays data as a single day so that it will work on mondays?

Thanks

Hi. Expert is causing an error in compile, and can't add to the charts.

Error reads:
'Tracert.mqh' - cannot open program file C:\Program Files\MetaTrader 4\experts\SimpleDailyRangeBreakExpert_v1.mq4 (11, 1)

Where do I find or get Tracert.mqh and why is it needed?

Thank you.

Hi,

Tracert.mgh is the library for tracing of your test results. It's very useful stuff.
You can find it here: http://www.forex-tsd.com/4667-post6.html.
