Web Trading System

Hi everybody, I would like to propose the development of an EA for the "Web Trading System", from www.webtradingsystem.com, which uses EMA 5 and 13 crosses.

This is a very simple, straight forward system, with very clear rules, which appears to work very well. Apparently is was developed by a company which profited from it and then decided to give it away for free.

This is basicallly it:

- Use EMA 5 and 13 (taken from the Fibonacci sequence).

- Open the position when EMA5 has crossed EMA13.

Buy when EMA5 has crossed EMA13 from below. Sell when EMA5 crosses EMA13 from above.

Enter the market at the opening price of the following time interval after the crossing.

- Place stops below/above EMA13.

- Exit at the next crossing.

Crucial rules to improve results:

- Place stops at 50 pips from EMA13, binding this to EMA13 movements.

- Do not open the position if there is a gap of more than 100 pips between the opening price and the stop loss level.

- Do not open the position when there is only 1 pip between EMA5 and EMA13.

The system can be used with any time intervals and currency pairs. However, the best results are achieved with one-hour charts, and experience and system testing have shown that the most stable income is gained trading the USD/CHF.

I haven´t done a good test of the system myself. I just made the EMA setup on MT and have been following it a bit and looks good. But it would be great to develop an EA and backtest it at least.

More info at: http://www.webtradingsystem.com/when-to-trade2.shtml

Hope anyone finds this information useful.

Best regards,
davidvm.

Exclamation

I appreciate your thread, but from my experiences in Forex and Backtesting of EAs, they work good but not all the times. in most cases they are large lossers and in the other cases they are large gainers.

as i understood, this is simple MACD Indicator with 2 specific parameters and some improved laws. when you test MACD EA, and Optimize it's parameteres in time series, you'll find out, parameters chanege frequently over the time. you have many losses & gains consecutive, and this consecutive gains and losses give you larger RISK.

i don't want to discourage you, but only want to tell you that your game needs more LAWs on this Strategy.

Good Luck

We got an EA!!

Hi, I've just discovered that an EA for this system has been already developed!! (CROSSING EMA 5 x EMA 13)

You may find the EA on post #12, and a pdf document explaining the system on post #5.

The author of the system is Alex Krzhechevsky. He first sold it, then gave it away for free. He is also the author of the TimeTrap System.

I've been testing the EA a little and it seems that it is opening trades where it shouldn't. As I posted on that thread, is anyone interested on finishing the EA?? Most of the job has already been done by Heder, so maybe it only needs a little tunning. Any volunteers??

david
