i have many questions about signal system, totally new to it
1. how do use .mql and .mq4 files?
2. which platform is this files for?
3. can they be used with interbankfx's platform?, if can how?
if this is a wrong forum to posts my quesion, pls help be with an other link.

i hope my questions are answered, and sorry about the amount of "hows"

MQl file is for Mt3
MQ4 for Mt4

If it's an indicator put it in:

C:\Program Files\Interbank FX Trader (or folder name of your platform)\experts\indicators

Experts goes in:

C:\Program Files\Interbank FX Trader\experts

If you can't find your folder for your platform just go to the icon of the platform that appeared after your install the mt4 or mt3 and right click/properties/find target


After putting those files inside the corresponding folders, restart the platform (I mean metatrader not windows),Open up a chart and then look in the navigator window( pressing ctrl+n or navigator icon) on the left side of the screen for the EXPERT ADVISOR or the CUSTOM INDICATORS menu. Double click on the name of the EA or indicator for them to be attached to the chart.

Mql and Mq4 can be both indicator and experts. Before putting in the folder you'll have to know if it's one or the other.

How would you know?!? well, for example in this forum, there's two seperated section: Expert advisor and indicator.

On other places, you'll just have to read what the author specify.

And yes , they'll work with interbankfx,Alpari etc,,, all brokers who supports Metatrader platform but make sure you know if it's meta3 or meta4

Yes that is Mt3 but they give you the option to get metatrader 4 too.

Well, funny you mention that.

I just posted in another thread about brokers that I will be stoping doing any demo testing on IBFX as of today.

Too many bugs with their chart/quote datafeed. Furthermore, some orders don't pass thru.

On the other hand, Alpari's mt4 platform is much better.


About the link: I forgot how i got the link to download their demo but I think you have to go to their site and fill up the 30 days demo account form with your e-mail address.
