Yes, there are no stops. There is no need for them because of our money management system. If you want stop losses you should put them 300-400 pips away from the entry price. Why so big? We are long term trades so our profits are of the same magnitude.

Please see www.optimalmode.com/service.php
There you will see how much funds we started with. This is our actual balance rounded to the nearest dollar. I think the USD/JPY went against us the most and that was about 150 pips before coming back and closing with a profit. We have almost doubled our initial investment. Note that as our investment (hopefully) grows, our strategy will change to accomodate our new account balance. As I said we manage our own funds so we tailor the strategy according to our account side. You will be most benefited by our strategy if you have our current account size. Although it can always be fixed for your account size.

Broker history

It would be better if you post your account history from your broker.

We could do that. The problem is that we have to remove the account number every time we save the history report (for security reasons). Most trades are made through pending orders, many of which are canceled. MT4 platforms save canceled orders. It is much more messy. We can provide the broker's history report to whoever emails jet@optimalmode.com and requests it.

No trades. The market is going nowhere.

But this doesn't mean we can't have some fun!

Curious about who uses Optimal Mode. Want to know just how diverse Optimal Mode users/visitors are? You wouldn't believe us if we told you, so now you can see it for yourself! All you need is a google email address. Send us your google email address and we will grant you access to google's analytics page statistics. You can see how many people connect, from which part of the world and much much more!

Don't have a google email account? You can't sign up for one because you have to be invited to get an email account with google. Well, we will give you an invitation to setup your own email account with google. Just tell us what your email address preference is and if it is available you will be invited to open a google mail account with that address.

Which page would actually provide the alerts? I had noticed with many alerts posted in this forum and others that they are posted after the price had already move, it does no good to track it. We can all say that this is how good we have done, but that is after the fact. I had traced several commercial web sites previously, and they all mislead the public as being signals they can use to trade live. Good in hindsight, but not in real trading....

With such a large S/L, its easy to blow your account in no time. Usually it means you do not know where the market is going with the generated signals. I could give signals for free also without a S/L.

Good points.

The signals are posted on the signals page, which registered users can see. Most of the time signals are posted a few hundred pips before the price gets there. For example, right now we have an entry signal to buy USD/CHF at 1.2010. That's 400+ pips away from the current price. That will not always happen of course. You have to understand that we trade our own money with the same signals so we do what is best for us. Everything we do IS posted for your eyes. _Nothing_ is omitted. Besides the website posting you are also sent an email with a signal, or modification there of, right away. Most, not all, of our entries are done via pending orders, and as you many know most brokers take pending orders at least 10 pips away from current price. That means that if we send a last minute signal for you to enter a trade you will usually have about 10 pips worth of time to enter manually, which can be a lot of time or very little, depending on how the market moves.

In the near future, as our client base builds, we will offer auto-trading so that last time signals will not be as important.

Now addressing the stop losses. You should put a stop loss, but it should be put far away from the entry price so that it would be very unlikely for you to get stopped out of the trade. If you get stopped out you lose money, while as long as you are in a trade you have a potential for it to make you money. That is the way banks trade and if you want to make it in this market you should play that game also. 300-400 pips is not that much money. It is $300-$400 if you are playing with one mini lot. You have to allow for at least that much draw down if you want to be profitable. The reason people like to trade the "majors" are because they are very volatile. That means that no matter which side you take, chances are that if a trade goes against you, eventually there will be at least a 50% retracement so you can still get out with a profit. Our long term strategy addresses all these points and more.

You have 30 days to see our trades, how much profit we make per trade and how many trades we take all together. Since we don't buy at tops or sell at bottoms, the draw down are usually not 300-400 pips. The largest draw down so far was around 150 pips on the USD/JPY trade, which was closed with a fair profit.

While we are at it, we would like to point out something about what Optimal Mode is planning and where it is going in the future.

We are not going to be a dull signals provider that sells their signals in return for some profit for the clients. We will evolve into something much bigger than that. We will create a unified community of traders that will discuss teach, train and trade together. Thus, members will have to option not to be stuck to our signals for profit but can successfully diversify their financial portfolio. We will create a library that will compile all available worthy free trading literature, indicators, and EAs that will be tested much like forex-tsd does. There will be a forums, chat rooms, uncensored review boards for brokers, analysts and much much more. Everything will be honest, simple and transparent and that's a promise we are determined to uphold.

One last note. Eventually subscription rates will not be flat but will be based on some linear combination of account size, profit, loyalty, geographic location etc. The reason for this is that we currently have people from 35 different countries visiting us. We are well aware that not everyone can afford $100 a month subscription.
