Question for Members:

We have looked at many threads on tsd, and are trying to get a feel from the members as to what type of advice would be most beneficial to everyone. In addition, which format would be most effective, i.e. question-answer, daily posts, intra-day posts, etc?

Thank you in advance,
Terry

Hello Fellow Traders,

Hope all are well and making profitable trades. We have been able to exchange some good ideas and thoughts on some other forums, and are looking to do the same of this forum, as well.

We have posted some market commentary from time to time and have gotten some good feedback on how to help our clients and potential clients. We've also been able to answer a lot of questions on the finer points of risk management and position sizing, and basic fundamentals of developing a good framework for mechanical trading strategies

We'll be sending out to our clients some commentary for the upcoming week, and will post here as well, a sample of our commentary, hopefully you all will find it useful.

We also updated the Strategy Performance Page on our website to include trading activity in our Strategy Suite 1, using real money. We feel this helps us do a few things:

1. This hopefully satisfies many of our potential clients who are undecided in terms of utlilizing our strategies and commentary, until we have the results audited by a CPA.

2. Yes, it covers a very short time span, but it should display somewhat how our strategies work. The profitable trades occur in clusters. As a trader you can't predict, but data shows that they occur in an efficient trading system over time. You can also see this exhibited in our equity curve charts on our site, as well.

3. Finally, it shows how proper position sizing and correct risk management allow you to "stay in the ballgame," during a negative streak of trades and stay in position to capitalize during the positive streaks.

Thank you for your time and look forward to continued dialogue,
T2

Weekly Commentary

Weekly Commentary for June 4, 2006

Good Morning,

We hope everyone had a nice weekend, and are well rested for the upcoming week of trading.

Well, hopefully the majority of you were able to cash in on the dollar’s move across the board on Friday after the NFP. As in most cases on the day of major news releases, if you’re not in the market prior to the “number,” it makes trading very tough. We feel Friday was just a trading opportunity, as the price movement really didn’t do much in terms of affecting the charts. It appears that “black gold” and Fed comments will be the major news this week. Your humble correspondent (me) resides in sunny southern Florida, and this area is starting to get a bit apprehensive as hurricane season begins. Although the Gulf Coast refineries handled the unprecedented hurricane season of last year remarkably well, you have to wonder if they will be able to do the same again.

The large majority of our strategies are still short the dollar. We were able to hit the profit target on one of the components of Strategy Suite 1, the Euro Mega late Sunday evening. The Euro Speed is flat as of 11pm ET, Sunday evening.

That is all. As always, keep an eye on your position sizing, and learn from your mistakes.

Peace Out,
The Notorious T2

Dollar Reversal Heads Up

Good afternoon T Squaredians,

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that our yen and swiss strategies have reversed positions and are now long the dollar, this occured in the 2:30pm ET range. Our Euro strategies still have a long dollar bias.

Intresting timing, will update later.

Thanks,
Peace Out,
T2

Hey,
Just post some indicators for us to check.
This is a development forum, and not a sales one.
New Digital, I think this should go in the commercial section.

Market Commentary for June 6th, 2006

Daily Commentary for June 6th, 2006

Good Monday Evening/Tuesday Morning,

Greetings from the brain trust here at T Squared Trading LLC. We have a lot to discuss, so let’s get right to it

News, news, and more news. There were 3 issues moving not only the currency market but the equity markets as well. Rising oil hit a 3 week high at around $74 a barrel. With the influx of travel on the horizon as summer approaches, it doesn’t take a genius to believe that this number will surely rise before heading lower. Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated in so many words that if you mess with his nuclear facilities there will be hell to pay. Finally, our Fed Chairman “not so” Gentle Ben Bernake spoke of core inflation potentially being a factor in further rate tightening. Mr. Bernake also delivered another proverbial kick to the investor’s groin when he expressed his disappointment in the lack of recent consumer spending.

Taking all this into consideration, the dollar performed rather well in all major pairs. On a chart basis, the dollar retraced some of its losses from Friday’s session in which it took it on the chin after a tamer than expected payroll number.

Our strategies are pointing towards a level of uncertainty as to the direction of the majors. The strong dollar move around 2pm ET was more then enough to convince our Swiss and Yen strategies to be “dollar lovers.” Our Euro strategies are still net long the dollar, as it appears it’s going to take a bit more convincing to change their microchip brains. Our shorter term Euro Speed is currently short the buck, but I must report it is approaching a long-dollar bias. So to sum it up, it appears that our strategies might be moving away from the negativism they have had towards the dollar as of late, and look like they’re starting to support the good old dinero.

Also, we apologize for the delay in getting up-to-date equity charts for our strategies. We’ve had some minor problems uploading the graphics, but look for them tomorrow am.

Thank You and Peace Out,
T2

Dollar Bias

Good Morning/Afternoon,

Just a follow up to last night's commentary. Some of our mid-level euro based sensitive strategies are now long the dollar as of about 2 hours ago. Our yen and swiss strategies are still long and strong the greenback.

Peace Out,
T2

So what happened, Fx-programmer? You contacted me via my private mail box wanting to write an EA for the method I descibed as the "XO"_method. After I replied you went "dead" - is this the way you operate?
