Wow, some people do have high expectations of what a fund should return.

Most big funds are just returning 10-15% per year, and their investors are very happy to put their retirement fund in there because of good steady return. I think if you can beat the stock market average, then you should be proud.

Obviously, you have your money managed because you have a business or occupation that is also pulling in the money. And you don't need the huge returns on the money to live on.

For the year, I would be satisfied to return 20-30% of the balance. Of course, the more profit the better. But you should set your expectations low, and build on it.

FXCM Managed Accounts are returning -25% to +2% year to date. Just shows you how some people have too high expectations.
