May i know why the yesterday "USD ISM manufacturing news" text shown kind of double....

Also for how long your calender id 4 can be read in backtesting.

It is because you selected to see medium and high impacted news and with text=true so it is written 2 text messages on the same line:
Code:
ISM Manufacturing Index
which is high impacted
and
Code:
ISM Manufacturing Prices
which is medium impacted.

As to backtesting so I did not understand the question sorry.
You can backtest indicator with no problem.
As to EA so it can not be backtested if it is 5.3 version (some other versions can be backtested because working with text file with different settings changing automatically for every news events).

And you can see the recent trades closed on CAD Interest Rate with 5.3 version.

Display News Periods on Charts
Is anyone aware of an indicator that looks up news or events relating to a currency pair and plots the time period on your MT4 charts ... would be very useful especially if it allowed you to gray an area of time before and after as no trade zones and took into account the expected impact of the news (eg. Red for news that will cause extreme volatility).

I´m trying to understand what you needs and seems you're looking for "news indicators". So, I moved your posts to this thread and also I recommend you to take a look at the whole section.
