Because i am testing this Ea with high impacted news only. If you change this filter to min to 2 so you will trade 9and you will see on the chart) all the news (medioum and high impacted).

But I am testing it with grid settings and according to my experience high impacted news events are profitable even for long run. So I am testing high impacted news events only.

You mean this one?

new1.jpg

No source.
I am estimating it by myself.
Because i am testing high impacted news by Newstrader EA (posted here in public). I am testing it during the long time. For example, it is since 10 of November 2007 (in pips):
- AUDUSD: +14;
- EURUSD: -9;
- GBPUSD: -46;
- NZDUSD: 0;
- USDCAD: +143;
- USDCHF: 0;
- USDJPY: +17.

Sometimes i am getting good results. It is in September, for example:
After NFP (this week only)

EURUSD: +35 pips.
GBPUSD: +13 pips.
USDJPY: +14 pips.
USDCHF: +50 pips.
AUDUSD: +61 pips.
USDCAD: -74 pips.
NZDUSD: 0 pips.

Thus, I am testing high impacted news by EA for the about 1 year now with the same settings.
If FF calendar is dong mistake estimating high impacted news so nothing will be happened. If I am doing mistake in my estimation so I am getting the losses. That is why I am estimating high impacted news very carefully.
Besides I decided to avoid any significant high impacted trading during the December and January.

Using the Forex-Tsd Calendar indicator to avoid trading during the News time

How can weuse the Forex-Tsd Calendar indicator to avoid trading during the News time in an existing expert?

Can someone please post the code lines to add a news filter easily to an existing expert using the Forex-Tsd Calendar indicator as a Custom indicator?

The FFcal indicator explains how to do this, inside the source file, but this indicator is falling to uptate itself, so, I was thinking to use the Forex-Tsd Calendar Indicator to filter out News times from trading, instead...

Thank you in advance

Mico Yoshic

You can see NewsTrader EA as mql4 code here http://www.forex-tsd.com/115941-post7.html and SignalTrader http://www.forex-tsd.com/115940-post6.html
You can take some codes from Newstrader EA. If you need for your EA to request forex-tsd calendar changes every 5 minutes for example (or every 1 minutes) so you can see SignalTrader because there is parameter:

ReqPeriod = 30; // Calendar Request period in min

Besides in our calendar (on the top of this page Forex-Tsd Calendar :: Calendars ) you can see the link for explanation:
- Programmatic API
- CSV API
- RSS API
- XML API
It will help the coders.

Sorry I am not a coder so I can not incorporate our news calendar onto any EA. But as I know it is possible to do with the information provided.

incorporating newsIndicator with other EA is very good idea

I think incorporating newsIndicator with other EA is very good idea. I am reading complains that most EAs get wack or kill during news.

Question NO Trade 2 hours before or 1 hour after news EA

I am working on a EA that I want to stop trading 2 hours before news come out and wait for another hour after, for any of the symbol the EA is attached to. for example if this ea is attached to GBPUSD chart then any news related to GBP or USD which is of high importance should get picked up by this ea and stop trading based on the time of the news ... can anyone please help?

thanks heaps in advance.

Try to use slightly different function TimetoOpen()(from NewsTrader) in your EA:

bool TimeToOpen()
{
bool result = false;
for (int i=0; i<=NewsNum; i++)
{
datetime OpenTime = dt[i] - TimeGap*60; //ex. 2h = 120

if((TimeCurrent() < OpenTime && TimeCurrent() >= OpenTime+TimeGap*60))
{result=true; break;}
}
return(result);
}

Сall of this function you should place in the main condition of orders opening.

Ex. if (MA1>MA2.... && TimeToOpen()) ...
