Maybe you can cache that information. Whenever the server is unavailable, just retrieve the cache as a display, and also indicate this is delayed or something due to server busy.

It is easier to understand than find a good position with x and y in inputs.

The user just double click on the reference on chart (it may be the title of the box or anything else) ... and drag it where he wants the box to be plot. That's all.

:: I found a solution for this!!, so in the next version it will not wait to have an answer from a broken or down news/time server.

Understandably that data is tied into meta from the site, but whenever the site is down could metatrader platform still comes up but warns that data was not retrieved from site.

Thank you for your real usefull indi. and thank you for sharing it here.
i got an idea (I wish you will like it),Now we have the ability to see the news and actualS,forcastS..etc,and you make the better news in green,red in bad ones OR we see the numbers by switching news set form 1 to 2 or from 2 to 1...How about if you make 3rd option that we can see effects on the pairs?..like you make in the news set another option for example will be (3) as there are 1 and 2..in that option you creat the predicted effects (up/down) on the relaited pairs to the news (let us say that the news is regarding to JPY and you make the related pairs to be shown as symbles (first group:Gbp/Jpy-Aud/Jpy-NZD/Jpy...)and (second group: Jpy/..-Jpy/.. and so on)..so if the news said the forcats better than the previuos it will mean DOWN in the first gruop and UP in the second gruop..THIS WILL BE SHOWN IN FIRST COLOM BESIDE THE NEWS..

Then when the news comes out..and when the ACTUAL numbers comes out WE SEE THE SECOND DIRCTION OF THE CHOOSEN PAIRS as it REAL ACTION(group 1/group 2)..

So,we finally will have in the news set 3:
another 2 coloms that shown the first one show the dirction of gruop 1 and 2 befor the news (according to the forcasting),second(show the direction of group 1 and 2 (according to ACTUAL numbers [better/bad])..

now,if you add the RANGE in ur XMETER that you created it in the upper part (JUST AS THE IDEA IN (T_S_R)-Daily Range Display#6.mq4..)..you can either add it with ur meter or you can creat 3rd colom to make the RANG according to choosen pairs..

I have to think about that a few minutes but what I know now is that in pure logic on your computer is that all available data is not enough to know the difference between a good forecast or a bad forecast... what is good forecast x > y or x < y, some news announcements are better with x > y and others vise versa. So for that, possibility [1.] the NewsReader has to check historical price movement against the same current news announcement, or poss. [2] I have to find or retrieve this data from another server.

I hope you following me in this one...

When the NewsReader can retrieve the answer, after 2 or 5 minutes (worse or better) then it is easier to predict, some news events cause a quicker volatility then other news events, but in case of the slower ones I could make a useful sign depending on different currency pairs. The news events with the quicker volatility that would be tricky.

so, a quick thought
nevertheless, a historical comparison between news events could be very (very very) useful. Just have to milk more data from forexfactory or can I milk something from forex-tsd? How about forex-tsd calendar? Perhaps the prediction can be build in their database... perhaps NewDigital can answer this one...

,I AM TOTALLY AGREE with you about there are some news if the reading is low will be indicate to UPs and others the low reading cause DOWNs ..(but i think those kind of ops. reading of the news are littel and already most of them are very knowen,Unemployment ,inflations..etc)..i am sure that you can pay some IN10TION to it

...
about that havey news that cause big moves,usually the meter(ur METER) will express more quicker than the down part in ur indi...i mean if you use the correlation between pairs in ur meter that means you can get the most right direction at the moment and for more than the events moment....for example:if we see USD\JPY and USD\CHF are going down while at the same moment the GBP\USD and EURO\USD are going up that means there is an issue of REAL DIRECTIONS of the market..
Beside if there is two or more events to one crruncy and there are another events to the opsit crruncy and (is BETTER FOR THE FIRST ONE AND BAD FOR THE SECOND ONE) THAT CAN TAKES YOU TO FINAL DIRECTIONs...
you can add one more colom

to the final direction after the conection between the events power and the correlations and the current direction...
