Please interpret this position

Hi In10tion

Thanks for the explanation but I am still a little unclear

I have attached a screenshot of todays movements with the GBP/JPY

Could you please advise how you would position yourself here and what you expect could happen and why?

Thanks in advance

JBear

it would be helpful if you could add camarilla fibo in your indicator.

Yesterdays News

Hi In10tion

I have a request regarding the displaying of the news

You see Long long long ago when the world was in actual fact flat when everyone received the news they received it at the same time because that is when everyone lived on top of the world. Then one day someone who lived on the edge of the world got really pissed off because he was told something late fromsomeone that lived on the opposite edge so he thought that he would fix the problem and he began to throw a tantrum. He began by stamping his foot really hard until he got so violent that he began to jump up and down. Well the effect was so devistating that the whole world began to change shape and it became round. As a result some of us now get todays news (NY) others get half today and half yesterdays (GMT) while those of us who are having the tantrum are still getting yesterdays bloody news (EST)

aaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh

By the way I really do love the Newsreader (looking for suckup smilie)

(This is where I really need an Angel Smilie)

Therefore I was wondering if it would be possible to display the news according to the computers Time Zone

Just a thought

Regards

JBear

:: hi JBear, the question is what do you want to do? long term trade or short term? And what kind of risk? ... Like in previous answer it stays the same, GBP is weak (white) JPY is high/strong in the currency strength. Like the picture I attached here you see clear that there is a correction several days now... this is or can be hard to trade if you don't take a higher risk of trading. What the last few days proof is that it fails to go higher (looking for a break out), but still the currency strength of GBP is weak, so the overall chance it will break is smaller then the pullback of JPY ... in that way trade in favor for JPY only (higher risk in the correction) ... if GBP regain itself, proof with breakout + correction on breakout (re-test) then we think about going in favor with GBP, otherwise not. Waiting

This is a 1 hour scale, you can find your answers like this also in lower time frames, but still keep a low lot size & more room to move around if you are in trade, especialy for this agressive currency pair...

This is just the big view of "where to start looking first", if you going in a trade then all indicators will come in play, but before that don't fool yourself & that is equal loosing money...

Different Time Zones

Hi In10tion

From what I can tell FF are using NY Timezone.

DailyFX us GMT

I live in South Australia & NewZealand generally every 6 weeks alternating

South Australia is 16hrs ahead of NY and New Zealand is 19hrs ahead of NY

When the news is refreshed on the News Reader it shows 00:00hrs - 23:59hrs NY time which is 16:00hrs - 15:59hrs South Australian time and 19:00hrs - 18:59hrs New Zealand time more importantly the meat so to speak of the trading day is generally late evening early morning my timezones

(Only the Digital Clock shows the computers TimeZone The five analog clocks show their true time according to their timezones which is extremely helpful but the news is always in NY Time Zone)

So if analysing trades for a typical NZ day for example it can be confusing when constantly checking trading plans against other time zones.

I also comute between LA, Toronto, UK and Asia up to twice per year and if all I had to do was refresh my timezone on my computer to get the news in that time zone it would be AWESOME

You do get used to it BUT if you are tired and generally I am then cancel out or it can sometimes be costly

Hope this makes sense

Regards

JB

Numbers scrunched up and behind bars

Hi! Hope you had a good weekend. In a previous email you asked me to double click on the intuition newsreader line and see if it was Arial font which it is. I have attached a picture of what the font is. Anything else to check? Thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate

:: Thanks for the picture! It's not the font that is the problem... do you have other settings on your Vista/XP that makes your font bigger or special on your desktop? I never saw this problem/issue before... and that other pc's (yours) have the same, so probably you have to have some kind of setting (or a software) that you do on all of them...

It has to work, because you the only one that have this

I'll try to find it...

thanks,
IN10TION

I have another computer that I installed the trading platform and the tamplates and indicators on to see if I had the issue on that computer and I did not. However I would really like to use the computer that has this issue for this software. Can you think of anything that would cause this? Thank you very much for your help,
