:: yes, it would be better.. but it needs much processing if you want to have a big history preview.. I see what I can do just to capture or keep the previous result..

For what it is now, there are 1 hour - 4 hours - 24 hours - 6 months bars.. if the strength is dropping.. then the 1 & 4 hour(s) bar will be lower then the 24h bar ( yes, you only see the result as a number of the 24h ).. the result of this is that you can capture a correction or trend change (per currency) easier by looking at an 1h or 4h and compare it with the 24h.. so in that way you will see a more active "history" response that has a more impact on the 24h.. or the 24h with the 6 months..

Hope this helped a little

One suggestion. If I see EUR 4.7 and USA 3.2, I assume EUR is stronger. Therefore I buy EUR. However, EUR previously was 5.5 and USD was 2.6, so in fact, EUR is dropping in strength and USD is gaining in strength. Would it be better to plot their strengths over time?

:: Thank you!

About the font.. the thing is if I make the font bigger, that on certain days the news-list will be off-screen.. but I'm thinking about the idea to construct it a little bit in another way.. but those are big changes.. have patience!

For the guide.. there is some link in post 1 that will bring you to another set of links throughout the IN10TION NewsReader thread.. Hope this can help you for starters..

This is my first post on this Forum and I just wanted to say a very big, very sincere THANK YOU and God Bless you for all your hard work. There are a lot of us out here to whom this is just so special.

May I request ONE small favour please? And I know it was asked before and you said - lets get the engine working first then the outside? Actually I have 2 small requests!!

1] Please- PLEASE - could you make the font bigger!! My old eyes just can hardly read it - i have to squint and then it disappears even more! I've tried individually making the objects bigger - but too many and too complicated! Can you make an 'old people who cant see properly version' please IN10TION?

2] An 'idiots guide' to how to best understand all the things you have there!

I would be so very grateful! (even more than I already am!)

Many many thanks for your true kindness.

I await in anticipation!

hello IN10TION

I just want to say please dont make it too complex...everyones whish list doesnt need to be fullfilled and probably can't...
I dont think is good idea to have signals "buy" and "sell"...it can be just confusing...market change in split second...

Keep it simple as much as you can....just if you think that what we already have can be improved....very good leading indicators...Thank you again...

Some Suggestions

Hi !IN10TION.

Really great work you are doing here!

Some suggestions.

1. Sometimes (as happened today in the German News) the news went back to yesterdays listing, and it only updated a short while after the actual news. (It had previously updated 25 minutes before the news on my system).

I tried buy uninstalling and re-installing the indicator to force an update, but it did not work. I also set download news to false then back to true, but it kept the previous data the same.)

I think a force reload option is needed. The simplest way I can think of to allow this to be done is by using main.anchor.show, and after the position is moved, a reload gets forced.

2. When the indicator reloads, it freezes the MT4 till the reload is complete. This might just be in my situation, because I stay in a rural part of Afrika with very limited bandwidth.

It would be nice if during the News event itself, that an option to only download the released numbers is available.

3. The actual rate only shows up on my system between 2 to 3 minutes after the initial spike. I do not know if it is because of the source, or if it is because of the 30 second force update it goes into.

If there is a way to get the rate as soon as it is released, could you please explain how?

Also, an option of setting the 30 second force to a chosen number of seconds would be useful.

4. I use a totally different color scheme, and I have managed to get all except one background color to be set. The TrendPrint green dots background remains black, while all the others go to my DarkGray background.

5. When the News.UpCWarn.Minute signal changes the color of the news, it would be nice to have the option of also having a Playsound, alarm and an external string for the user to type in the wav name of choice.

6. My timezone is South African, and all the data about the news is typed in the EST based time zone, so it is easier for me to follow up if it were listed in EST on my indicator.

So an option of which timezone to display would also be useful.

Thank you very much for your great work on this.

:: Will talk only about your time problem now.. that is the main issue of all your problems what you want to do with loading/reloading..

This indicator is smart enough to figure out what your timezone is.. it will take that from your computer settings ( check those 2x if they are correctly set ).. 2th.. the website forexfactory.com has to be set in your correct local time.. so that is match your computer time the same way.. all logic

Close you MT4, go to you "experts/files" folder and delete every file related to IN10TION.. those files are the files that IN10TION NewsReader download.. those are webpages in a text format.. you will see how big they are, size in kb.. and notice that they are not that big even for a slow download speed wherever jungle or desert you are

Open your MT4 again.. and it will reload everything.. the right way..

If your time settings are not correct ( PC vs forexfactory.com ).. then it will continuously download or NOT download the needed pages, because of the wrong-time-match-issue..

(note: I can not automate the time settings on the forexfactory website, I tried, but too much hassle in coding)

I work every day with my IN10TION NewsReader and don't have crashes at all.. I only use it on 1 chart, not multiple, but even if you use multiple.. it will download 1 time.. so there also it will safe you African bandwidth

try and let me know

Suggestion on news list options

I wrote a simple feed-based news indicator for Ninjatrader recently. I decided to allow the user to select how many news items to display at a time as well as filter news by country code and impact. I also scroll off old news so that only the pending events are shown. This might help reduce the vertical screen space required a bit. Just a thought.

I know how difficult this kind of programming is and I thank you.
