I want to be first on this list as I do not want to hire any of u , as I have used 9 monkeys for coding from this forum and dissapointed with all of them
El Cid, post your stories with concrete names, facts, evidences, etc.
then other parties can post their evidences.
the purpose of such discussion is that other people would know facts about clients/programmers and would make own decision if it worth having business with them.
if you are afraid, that newdigital or whoever else will delete posts, then you are free to find any other forum and post there.

Just got some suggestion from some coders: they asked me to create this thread to post something.
We will see. If the thread will be going in wrong way so we can delete it anytime.
Personally I am not very sure ... because one coder can be bad coder yesterday for one person but same coder can be good today for the other person ... so ... if this black list will name some bad people finally to be bad people forever for all life long as a brand "bad coder" so i am not fully agree with it.
Still not sure. We will see what they will post and will decide.
I think it is mostly usefull for the programmers and their talking between each other about themselves.

Does it give anybody the right to ruin somebody's reputation on one mistake ,after all the reputation is all that a programmer has got .
Before posting anybody's name on this list think carefully.Was it $50 worth of bad work ? .......so does it give you the right to take away dinner from his plate everyday?
Every case must be extreem and extremely serious to warrant going on this list.

One member can use some coder asking him to create "EA from this indicator". Coder can code.
Who should go to the black lisk?
One member who did not test his idea to be profitable?
Or the coder who created not profitable EA only because the member did not elaborate the idea?
It will always be insinuation between the coders who are coding something according the requests and the members who want to see EA "from this indicator because this indicator looks good on the chart".
If this thread will finally go to this educational 'test you idea before asking for EA' case so it ill be fine.

Those are all good points, each case must be looked at in context. In my experience lack of a suitable specification from the client is generally the cause of most problems. "Design me a profitable trading strategy" is not a specification you can give to a programmer
However, your earlier statement condemns ALL coders who participate at this forum, and you therefore damage everyone's reputation, including those who provide a good service. Thats the reason you need to name and shame the guilty
I hate to shatter your ego, but one complaint from you will not damage anyones reputation in the least. Perhaps we need a similar thread where coders can discuss clients who have proved to be problematic

giving charity is great. but personally i do not want to give charity to clients who fooled many other programmers. i'd prefer to spend my time more productively. the same can be said about programmers.
i agree, every case must be supported by evidences, no one should make unfounded claims.
reputation does not consist of "one mistake", there might be reasons behind that and client/programmer can post here explanations on each case. then we all can make our own judgement, basing on the information.
of course, if some one just claims "this person is bad" without proofs, then such posts will not be taken seriously and can be deleted after some time (if newdigital will have time for this).
but if you'd see more than usual amount of negative feedbacks, would you spend your time and money making business with such person?

if a client decides to blame a coder for such case, then a coder replies stating that he made the job done right and every other coder from now on knows that this client should be avoided. that's all. everyone will see who's right in a situation.
