Coder required to add to an EA

I have a Martingale EA which works well in ranging markets. I am looking for someone to code some additions to protect the account when the market trends. Obviously happy to pay.

Need simple task

I have a mt4 system that needs a popup alert and audible alarm when two lines on my program intersect.

If anyone wants to do this task, please contact me by pm and give me price.

Thanks a lot!

Arrow coder required for simple (I think) custom indicator

I'm looking for someone to write the code for an indicator that does the following:

If the price opens in the bottom 3rd (33.34%) and closes in top 3rd of a bar (designate this an 'up bar') I'd like the indicator to paint that bar and set off an audible alert.

Conversely, if the price opens in the top 3rd and closes in the bottom 3rd (designate this a 'down bar') I'd also like that bar painted (a different colour) and an audible alert set off.

I'm prepared to send some cash via paypal or donate to a charity of your choice if required.

Thank you for your time,
Have a good one.

tux

Sounds interesting, but I've been wondering...

What's a bar in a given time frame but only a creation of man. Does the market really care where it "closes" it's bar? For the most part I think probably not. The market will do whatever it wants, whenever it wants, and could not care about bar time frames.

There must be a better way to analyze the market!

I haven't figured it out yet.

Hi Wolfe,
I was puzzled too by that question for a long time, and I think you are right for small timeframes.
But on H4, D1, W1, as many traders are using the closes of the bars, and also most of the indicators, it becomes like a convention, a rule of the game to make analysis, which may work better than nothing just because this rule is followed. Also, the close on D1 or W1, let to traders the time to take decisions during the night or during the W.E. Maybe it comes from the stock market trading : once the session is closed, analystes can do their analysis and take decisions for the next session, the close is the last know price.

Hi wolfe :
as for the close of the bar you need to think of it as who win " bulls or bears" , that what matters to traders.

its like lots of other things in forex , for example the fib levels people tend to think these are entry and exit points, if you apply those levels on small time frames 80% it wont work and the 20% mostly luck, if you move to higher time frames the chance is that 60% it may work go to the daily chart or the 4h chart and the chance is that 70% it may work, the reason for that you need more people to apply those levels , and think there is an entry or exit.

Same with close of the candle , if you watch the price movement over time , you will see more people tend to place thier orders towards the end of the candle except for the news
