Has anyone had any experience when trading news with this broker?
Spreads, fills, requotes?

Also, how do fastbrokers calculate leverage at 200-1? Is it a straight USD 50.00 per mini lot like IBFX or is it depending on the currency rate which means that you have to work out leverage each time for each currency pair?

About FastBrokersFX (not FastBrokerFX !), what is a little bad is that they allow hedging but are marging both sides.
Also the used marge is higher than the normal one (ie 1360 $ in place of 1000 $for 1 lot EURUSD).
They do not allow to use the CloseBy() fonction.
So this broker is not suitable for those who want apply any grid or hedging strategy.

I demoed this broker's platform and was disappointed by how much they widen the spread at news. For example, the USD/CAD spread was some 17 pips for the canadian retail sales news on Friday 18 May. The EUR/CAD although I dont remember the exact spread must have been a spread of over 20 pips.
Although some people have given this broker a good wrap up in the posts above, I think that their spreads at news are not encouraging to open an account with them.

yes i saw that too. i was testing the straddle and trail EA with usd/cad.

i contacted fastfx and they said they have an mt4 pro feed for trading the news. i got a demo and will be testing it. but that feed has a commission attached to each trade.

HI
I am on the Pro feed. I did see 38 pips spread on the CAD retail sales.

I contacted them and they told me they are updating some things. So I am hoping the spread will be normal again soon.

They always widen the spread to around 8 pips.

yeah, it's FXLQ's i-feed. it widened to 37 was the highest i saw, as you said, during the CAD release.

what are they charging on the commission, 7.50 per 100k?

does Fast give 200:1 on the pro-feed too or just on the retail?

It's quite a lame excuse from fastbrokers that if they are updating some things that would result in spread widening that large. It just doesn't make sense. What's the spread got to do with updating anything at all?
