Anyone else having "no connection" with Velocity4x at the moment?

My demo mt4 terminals have been down today since 08:54 GMT, that is over 4 hours now.

I just hope that it is not to do with their liquidity problems with their banks, which forced them to halt trading on about half of their available pairs on 21 March 07:

Due to a technical issue with our liquidity providers we will be limiting trading on select currency pairs to a close position only setting




If there any pending orders in these pairs these orders will be canceled until this issue is resolved. We are working as quickly as possible to resolve this issue and will notify you when full trading is again available in the following pairs:

AUDCAD
AUDCHF
AUDNZD
EURAUD
GBPAUD
NZDJPY
NZDUSD
USDMXN
USDNOK
USDSEK
AUD/JPY
EUR/NZD
NZD/CAD

My Velocity4x MT4 terminals are back online now after 5 hours of being offline!

I guess I won't be going live with them. 5 hours of downtime is not kool.

The assertion that the demo server could somehow be connected to bank liquidity is ridiculous. I know there has been some testing going on, but a quick email to Velocity would have likely responded in a prompt, elegant solution. Many times, proven not only in this business but in I.T. support, it is a client issue causing connectivity problems due to:

- a firewall
- internet connection dropping packets (even a few dropped packets will kick you out and you will have to log back in)
- windows updates
- vista

It is not reasonable that demo feed goes down, as a developer I know how irritating it can be when you are testing and don't have connectivity. However, it's also not fair to make a claim which is not exactly an accusation but has a subtle tone of 'Since their demo feed is down their liquidity must be poor' which is definitely NOT the case here.
