I didn't realize a broker had to be registered with the NFA to accept US residents for live accounts. I have done a lot of live trading with MIG and I am pretty sure that the are not registered with the NFA, atleast they didn't mention them when I talked to them.

As far as I know this is specific to Great Britain. I don't know what the prohibitions are about. At this time a U.S. resident may not open accounts with any British brokerages or betmakers, I don't know to what extent these prohibitions reach. This is in accordance with British law.

Alpari UK MT4 clock is wrong
Hello!
I am using UK Alpari MT4.

WHy the time displayed in MarketWatch Window is not correct.

It should display London time but it is alway 1 hour plus.

How can it be corrected ?

PC time is synched with Time Server.

I just got reply from Alpari UK support.
Alpari UK MT4 time is always GMT/BST + 1, they said.

It has nothing to do with my local time.

Take Caution trading news with Alpari-uk
Good day,

Hope you guys enjoy the GPBUSD long move... Sure I did, thanks to River and Synergy Trading.

I discovered that Alpari Uk do normally increase the spread with about 8 most especially on EURUSD. I have noticed that twice now.

I havn't come across any brokers that doesn't increase their spread during news. 8 pips is comparatively reasonable in my opinon. I've heard horror stories of 35 pips spread with some brokers (Don't want to mention names here)

This indicator might help to sync your time and Alpari server time better.
