I moved your thread back http://www.forex-tsd.com/expert-advi...-rollover.html

BTW you will get the answer if your question may be interesting for many people. Try to attract the people. For example, open the thread in brokers section. Name of the thread may be "EAs: Brokers from UK and roll over" and try to post your evaluation. Not by one post. Many posts with examples and images. And people will join your thread.

This discussion was already passed in elite section and we compared the results and finally one person changed Alpari UK to the other broker (because this roll over was badly affected on EA's performance). But there is no any negative opinion without positive one. If you want for this subject to be fully discussed so many people should be interesting in discussion.

I can not ask privately to any broker or IB as our forum is not connected with any. I am just think about it: spread and losers. Mostly losers (90%) and most of them are new to forex losing first deposit (i think it is about 70%). So it may be the main gain the broker (any broker) has.
Just my opinion.

But as I know there are many members on our forum who are brokers and IB so they know the better.

But, on the other hand, some brokers are trading as well having a team of traders. And some of them are very interested professionally to have/keep a forum as their broker's forum.

Do they trade my money which i deposited to them, or they have their own money?
No idea.
Sorry yass i don't know about this subject.

It is logical to imagine that some group of traders/programmers became a broker having their own money and they are developing their trading systems together with their clients ...
But i don't know anyone which meet this case sorry.

Alpari Data GMT+1?

Is all the 1M history data downloaded from Alpari GMT+1? Or does it change with summer and winter due to daylight savings time? Trying to make a break out system based on market open times, I suppose the best thing would be to back test on Alpari data, and also do forward tests on their platform for consistency.

They are in GMT+2 now.
I asked on-line support.

Alpari 1M Data GMT+1?

From what I understand, the data in the Alpari history center is all GMT+1. Is this true all the time, or are there changes in the timezone due to daylight savings time? I belive Alpari is actually on CET and there is a time shift of an hour during the summer? I'm working on a break out system based on market open times. My other question is, are market open times based on GMT, or do they shift also with daylight savings time? I have a chart I have attached, tell me if you think it is accurate.

Alpari Backtesting...

Hi. I'm sure someone brought up the changes introduced by Alpari regarding swap and how it effects backtesting not too long ago. Unfortunately, I didn't pay much attention to it at the time and cannot locate it now.
Anyway, I initially thought this was introduced to make things more transparent but after studying the backtest trades have concluded that if live accounts are treated similarily, the are just ripping people off!
First, when they close and re-open the trade, there is spread and slippage introduced - spread seems about $3 per full sized contract and slippage in backtests is often up to 5 pips!!! The worst of it is, normal EA backtest results seem to be rendered useless because there appear to be new trade tickets issued to the re-opened 'swap' trades. Has anyone noticed any of this or am I the only one in the dark here?

Does anyone know if Alpari (UK) is to be trusted (to rely on it).

Are they large and stable company (not to be afraid of any bankrupt of the company)?

How do they perform during the news?
Do they have any delays and any requotes?

So far I've been with InterbankFX and I am not satisfied with their trading conditions, besides that i am getting some bad feeling with the stability of this broker (bankrupcy).
And also their withdraw options for international customers are terrible (high fees).

Does anyone recommend any other broker to trade with? I am putting about 5k $ on my new account and I woulnd't like to wake up someday without money due the bankrupcy or due the terrible trading conditions.
I would also prefer to be with some EU-UK broker, if possible.
Any help?

Thank you!
