I'm getting different results on demos
Hi to fellow forum members. Just a quick question. I'm getting different results on SAME platforms ( IBFX and Alpari). Could the operating system ( XP , Vista) have something to do with it ?
Secondly, my friends in Canada and South Amaricas / Caribbean get different results ( better) even when we start the same time with similar settings.
Do the data feed differently to various parts of the world.
If anyone from the forum would be so kind to give a few words of explanation ...I'd really appreciated it. Thanks. zl.

Data with Alpari broker and with IBFX broker is very different on the chart. So, in some cases (may be in most cases) you will have different results for the EAs. But it is also depends on coding and timeframe.

Hi,

Anyone use Alpari in the US yet? I was considering opening a live account and just wanted some feed back. Are they anything like Alpari UK?

News feed
I have 3 MT4 running on my server to test EA:S. All are connected to Alpari
I have one MT4 on my office computer and it are also connected to Alpari.

On the home version I have a news feed. None of versions running on the server has a news feed.

Anyone knows what controls the news feed?

Problem with MetaTrader 4
Hi,

After i have installed windows xp i reinstall Metatrader as well. Unfortunately my price scale shows 5 digits after a decimal point now. How can i change it back to 4 digits?

it's true some people can connect why some cannoy all is due to their new police. this is from their site:

Dear Clients,

We are pleased to announce that we have made improvements to our pricing policy which enables us to quote all currency pairs to an additional decimal place.

This means that all JPY pairs will be quoted to 3 decimals and all other pairs to 5 decimals.

This has been made possible by improved prices that we are now receiving from our liquidity providers and should enable us in the nearest future to reduce our normal spreads in some pairs to our client base.

We recommend that you download the latest MetaTrader version (build 218) as the developers have improved usability of bid/ask quote in the Order window to reflect the changes.

For demo accounts the changes will be effective from October 12th, 2008 and for live accounts – from October 19th, 2008.

Should you have any questions please feel free to contact our Customer Support.

Personally, i dont like this system due to many reason which i'm going to post tomorrow(reasons)
