there are different definitions for scalping, and vary by broker. the important questions are who will permit scalping and what are the limitations?... as far as i know ibfx w 3 min is the best youll find, unless you have millions to invest...then i would recommend stepping up to the currenex platform. from what i hear currenex is the only way to really trade on the interbank

Aonda is the best broker, but they don't support mt4
They have the best spread and alow scalping!!
Hi guys, Goldensight - I personally spoke to Klaus Richter via telephone. They do NOT tolerate scalping.
I spoke with someone over the phone as well at Neuimex and we came up with a time frame of "an average of at least 15 minutes per trade" in order to be considered not scalping. In other words, if the majority of your trades last a few hours or a few days, they would tolerate a few 5-10 minute trades, but not too many 10 second round trips.
He was very vague about the actual time needed to be considered not scalping. I think it has to do with the time of day, the volume being traded, the volatility, and what currency it is, though I'm still not sure. I haven't gotten into any more trouble since keeping my average above 15 minutes, though I would love to be able to not have any time restraints....
I was reading the Terms and Conditions of Interbankfx.com about 3 months ago and saw nothing about scalping. I think that, if there is nothing forbidding it, it may be allowed.
On Oanda scalping is forbidden (they define scalping as becoming more recent data due to the delay experienced in the internet connection); I have also heard, that they will not allow you to trade the news, if you hold your position for less than 5 minutes. I can oly say that they are the top ranked broker by many traders.
Just curious,
how do you scalp? And what do you mean by "scalping"?
Forums are full of “scalping machines” which make a huge profit. Have you ever heard about these cash cows in reality at a broker? No serious broker will accept this. The FX market is different from the Futures market– there, scalping is a good way to make money. In the Forex market, this only works if you are directly in the interbank market. Which is what we offer our customers.
This is CRAP. Look at the following statement to debunk this. Scalping is really the way to go in this market. Plain and simple.
These people don't have a clue.
