has IBFX changed their data feed? i have only demo but they no longer have a sunday bar and also there was a spike on oct 1 2007 in the euro which had a high of 1.4300 (other brokers had around 1.4280) and all the brokers connected to FXQL (velocity4x, fastbrokers, ibfx) had this spike. but now in ibfx this spike is gone on 10/1.

I still have that spike in my live feed on October 1, to 1.4300 about five minutes after market open. Maybe they just removed it from their demo data?

Spikes do happen from time to time. All that matters really is what your broker does in the case of you losing money on a real feed error spike.

Spikes are a regular feature with Aleccohfx as well, seemingly on many pairs, and on real accounts. We have been assured though that these are Metatrader 'artifacts' and would not result in trades being stopped out at a profit or loss.

They still are damn annoying though 'cos the EA's won't know this and will still try to execute the trades - so if conditions for trade execution are valid at the 'spike' price and you enter the 'Trade' subroutine, unless your code specifically re-evaluates the entry-price (most don't as spikes are not accounted for) your trade will be executed next tick at the 'real' price. Not good...

Talking Interbankfx forum gone

I asked them why this is what they said

Client Services 10: Hello, this is Heidi. How may I help you?
you: hi where did the forum go?
Client Services 10: The forum has been removed from our website.
you: yes
you: where has it gone?
you: I need to get something off it a file
Client Services 10: We have removed it.
Client Services 10: We are working to get some of the information back onto our website but I do not know when this will be.
you: why have you removed it?
Client Services 10: Because people were posting some inappropriate pictures on the forum.
Client Services 10: We don't have the time to erase them and so we have just removed it.
Client Services 10: We are working to get the good information back onto our website for our clients.
you: ummm yeh people post all sorts of things thats why the admins delete it
Client Services 10: It wasn't words they were deleting.
Client Services 10: It was pictures that had nothing to do with trading forex.
Client Services 10: So we are working to get the written information back up for our clients.

Well there ya go people posted some funny pictures so they took, the whole forums down

I never used to be the conspiracy theorist either, until for years now ive watched it get worse and cant dismiss it anymore. The brokers manipulate the data pure and simple. It is getting worse. If you want to make a profit you need to pay for private data to base your trades from.Although to the naked eye you can see it, much more happens when you trade a system using real unaltered data alot ALOT less false signals. The past cant predict the future NO, but it can have a fairly good statistical crack at it, and when the data gets messed with, the chances of accuracy start going down by the second.Peoples results all vary with the same systems on same brokers etc because, it depends on how much profit youve made in the past. They put you in groups on subservers and directly manipulate the data you get depending on your account size how much withdrawals youve made etc etc. They can change 1 bar in history to hundreds of them at a time and alot of times you wont even see it in logs its silent.Ive been told this now by not 1 but 3 ex employees of 2 different brokers.

Max Lot Size MT4 Broker (micro)

Hello,

I have an EA that runs on IBFX micro.mini account starting trades from 0.01, the EA is martingale so the lot progression is fairly steep. IBFX micro account maxes out at 50 lots (1 lot = $1). I am looking at a broker that allows PARTIAL lots and no limit on micro/mini lot size or at least up to 100. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

P.S I hear that the lower the lot size allowed the smaller and under capitalized the broker is.
