I am with IBFX too, and have no major complaints yet. For better or worse, I like their nano lots.

I have been with IBFX for over an year. When they intorduced the MT4 platform, they had some issues with connection to the MT4 server. They rectified it several months ago. It is solid now. Their MT3 platform has been solid all the time.

The people who post complaints against them are people who lost money because of their own fault and and are frustraded, or their competitors who disguise as former clients.

Maji is a very respected member who has contributed in many forums. If he says they are ok, then there should be no problem with IBFX.

If you still do not believe us, trade the account you opened and check it out yourself.

So much deceit in the Forex, you don't know who is a broker bashing another broker, disguised as a trader. So far IBFX has been good to me (I'm new to the Forex) their customer support is simply awesome. I've never encountered customer support as good as theirs, with ANYTHING. I just hope these nasty rumors aren't true, as I'm really trying hard to become a full time trader with them.

everything is good with IBFX that I can see except for their spread jumping around during low volatility hours. GBPUSD goes from 3 to 6 to 8 pips spread and and back again.. Very annoying.

Jumping only to 8, you have been lucky, I closed my account with them when the spread passed 50.
If you trade the news , the gready bastards make it impossible to make a profit.
Even trades in the asian session sometimes had a spread as much as 10 on the GBP.

If you want to keep your profits do youself a favor and close your account with them

Found a interesting article

Thought this might be relevant to this thread, I was looking for the best forex broker and I came across this article ...

http://www.gracecheng.com/forex_trad...x_Brokers.html

Learned about the difference between Market Makers and ECN's. After reading this and looking into it further I'm probably going to end up going with an ECN like EFX Group, even though it's not compatible with MT4 and they're charting packages & interfaces are pretty lame.

BUT ... ECN's make so much more sense in the long run because of the much lower cost per trade compared to the Market Makers dealing desks, 3+ spreads and they're outrageous slippage. Hopefully, some reliable ECN's will offer MetaTrader soon, but until then I'm not going to waste 1 pip with a Market Maker just to use MetaTrader for live trading.

As if by magic, I now have a problem, just checked my EA and it's opened some trades, but the market is shut until 5 EST.EA checks the IsTradeAllowed() function before doing anything. So now I have a bunch of trades I can't close, awsome!

Craig,

I just now checked the charts for IBFX. It is 11pm CST now. I can see there is data on the charts for January 1, 2007. I am surprised because I also thought that they will start trading around midnight tonite. However, if there is data in the charts, (starting around 2300 hours GMT 1/1/07), then you will have trades executed by your EAs if the conditions have been met.
