So I live in ...

So I live in the USA and I've been looking at MT4 brokers and http://www.alpari-idc.ru/en/ seems to be the best to me so far. But I'm confused and probably just a huge idiot but I have to ask anyway. Can US customers use them or are we limited to other companies (obviously that are in the USA) I've heard about that seem more shady?
If I can't...could you recommend good brokers for people in the USA...thanks

i'm with www.interbankfx.com , also have an account with oanda.com eventhough they're not MT4. Both are located in the U.S

I'm always kind of suspicious of companies based in Russia, Cyprus etc. Please don't misunderstand as I have nothing against those countries, it just seems that there is a lot of fraud around these days. With Refco dissapearing over night one can never be too careful.

I personally see no problem in this. Depositing funds is done thru wire of CC or PayPal. Withdrawing as well. So I really see no problem in working with a foreign broker.

No offence, but you should next time do a little bit of research before saying smth like that. Alpari is a UK broker. The site above is simply a Russian division of it.

http://www.alpari.co.uk/

P.S. A very reliable broker, as far as I've heard btw.

No offence taken.. the Alpari.RU contact info

Head Office

* Address: 15, building 1, Bol'shoi Afanas'yevsky side-street, Moscow, Russia (m. Kropotkinskaya).
* Mail address: P.O.B. 2024, Head Post Office, 101000, Moscow, Russia.
* Tel.: +7 (495) 29-111-29, 291-35-54
* Fax: +7 (495) 291-36-03

that is what I was basing my assumption on. Where is the link to the UK affiliate? If it was a UK broker shouldnt it make a mention of it on the .RU site?

To answer your question yes we can. The question is, do you want to send your funds overseas? Alpari shouldn't be bad though, alot of people use it. If you want to look at US brokers go for FXDD, Interbank, or Velocity4X. I have the same feelings as drgoodvibe on this subject, so whatever broker you choose, make sure they are regulated.

Why would you have to limit yourself to US brokers? After the Refco fiasco and the revelation that regulation is patchy in the USA, I would much prefer to use a broker outside the USA that is regulated up to the hilt. I hear TradexFX in Switzerland is good. Relatively little known but they have an excellent reputation. You can check them out at www.leftbraintrading.com.
