Trading with the Majors (Deutsche Bank, Barclays etc)

Right I've been trading demo accounts for about 18 months now, I've developed a few strategies and I'm just starting to look at trading live accounts. Now I've seen plenty of FX brokers offer services but I'm still sceptical about most of them. From my research the best spreads and most accurate volume data will come from the market makers, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Barclays, CITI group and RBS. I feel more secure with these banks than with some start-up FX broker. Does anyone here trade with any of the major banks? If so what are your experiences? What sort of capital do they ask for and how much leverage do they offer? Is it possible to adapt MT4 indicators/scripts/EAs to run on their platforms?

Hi,

I've been using DBFX for a couple of years now, but just for trading. I am using an MT4 demo account for charts.

No problems so far, although I have not asked for any major withdrawals. However, I do not think that would be a problem. What will take some time to get used to, is their Trailing stop. I would suggest you open a Demo account so you get the hang of it.

One more thing: I do not trade the news, so I do not know what their fills are during such times.

I hope I helped.
