I completely agree with you. I had a friend around here that was working on bridging the MT4 platform to ECN's. I don't know for sure if he ever succeeded for sure. I had heard that he had, and was trying to sell it over seas. As far as i know, there is still no cure for this. That being said, the broker, no matter who it is, can still manipulate trades with MT4.
For MBT now MT is black mark than a real reputation to call themself as ECN kinda broker, if MT really handle ECN show it with all US exchange covered in it rather than keeping MBT navigator for real ECN markets i.e US exchange futures and keeping MT for Fx ECN is just phony story to hunt pips indirectly????

Let's say that the MBT navigator shows an ask price for 5 lots at 1.20000 and an ask price for 300 lots at 1.20030. Now I enter a market order in MetaTrader to buy 100 lots. How will that order be filled?

If only a portion of your trade can be filled at the current market price, then you'll receive a partial fill and continued to be filled at the best available price. You'll never receive a requote.
Keep in mind - what you are seeing on the Level 2 is only a portion of what is actually available.

I never said we weren't going to offer other exchanges. The primary use of Metatrader in the market is for forex traders using EAs. We have indeed turned Metatrader 4 into an ECN, as you can see in Demo mode alone. Once we finish this part of project, you'll have to see what else we add.

This is Justin LeBlang from MB Trading. As you might have heard, we recently added MT4 with true ECN & STP execution to our offerings. The product is currently in beta, as such we are seeking traders with META experience to sign up for either DEMO testing or LIVE beta testing to help us filter out any last unknown issues that might exist. The problem here is not MBT but their integration with Metatrader rather than with FIX enabled platforms available there, Metatrader is not a real and serious choice for a TRUE ECN broker as of their claims
Also if you all notice well the MBT guy can't say any word about true ECN connectivity of Metatrader with exchange traded futures market like Comex and Nasdaq , if its true ECN they sure can connect direct market access futures via this same Metatrader ECN they claims for forex :d they only claims ECN bla bla and bridge Bla Bla thing with OTC fx :d
Bostontechnologies.com has made this connection with Nasdaq. You can display the SP Spiders (SPY) or QQQQ eshares in the MetaTrader navigator! They're doing it!

In 1st place we all (customers or not) would like to congratulate MBT for the great and transparent work done over the past years and for trying your best on this mt4 ecn stuf.
Could you please technically explain how do you guys can now say its a true ecn/stp, WITH NO BRIDGES, mt4 platform being offered to us? We all are tired of hearing: "A MT4 ENC INTEGRATION IS IMPOSSIBLE." "THERE IS NO WAY TO OFFER A TRUE ECN USING MT4 AS PLATFORM" etc. I guess this is what everybody wants to know, and this question wont stop till its clarifyed.
Can we expect to see inverted spreads on mt4 platform?
Is there any way to get a demo account with live spreads?
