I don't know where this tool came from. May be from some broker, may be from Metaquotes ... I think Lenar should reply for clarification.
But I felt that broker is having something on their side to manage our trades ...they are increaing the spead during the news so they have some soft to do it in one mouse click ...and it is mostly related to the brokers, systems and money deposited: there are brokers for big money and there are brokers for small money (to deposit). The same with systems. And the traders can arise the noise on every broker's case ... so it is not easy for brokers to swindle with data/trades.
Because someone can say: "my broker manipulates my trades" so it is related to 4 questions:
- who is your broker;
- how much you deposited to them;
- who are you (there are 10,000 traders and your trades were maniplated only? so who are you? should be famous if other traders are keeping silence);
- and which system you are using.
If we (you or anyone) are having some system or EA and if this EA is winning money and very profitable so it depends on how much ...
the broker will not support just for sure ... but will broker resist? or broker will allow us to make profit?
So, it is related to reputation of the broker, deposited money and system.
It was big discussion with MT3 many years ago about brokers manipulating the data and trades. But traders became more united with independent forums so it is not easy for the brokers to do it in simple way as this tool for example. Now they are floating aroud making some comments and saying something as
- "this EA is good" - but probable not;
- or "this Ea is bad" - but probable EA is good but for whom? For trader or for broker?
Just for example: you are posting something and some member is posting. You are independent trader and he is pobable not ... I think you understand what I mean: it is the same with real life and newspapers and TV and so on. Public place you know ...
If trader is making good money so the broker is not his friend and it is obviously. It depends on how much is making and reputation of the broker and it depends on how united the traders. I don't know exactl but I think that brokers support each other in some way. But in this case we must support each other and help each other. We should be united as a traders and it is our weapon.
Personally I have very few experience with data manupilation. But it is related to very small brokers: shifting the data, data holes/gaps, bars appears/disappears and so on. But I do not see big problems with big brokers.
