I have IBFX also, I compared my live and demo and they are the same. So I don't see what you see Fulltime247. Perhaps you have personal issues with them. I've been with them for a year and no problems.

others have spikes and dips YOU WILL NEVER SEE since IBFX smoothes the data soooooo...... much!! my EA is 2-3x more profitable with other cleaner brokers. they freeze the feed. widen spreads to ridiculous points and even widen when there is no news. they have hands-down the best organization (funding, withdrawal, transfers) but the worst feed!!

IBFX is designed to break EA's - the data is %$@#! so much that your INDICATORS DONT WORK ON THEIR PLATFORM!! Your money and EA is helpless against them - Just one dangerous example: in the real world prices dont smoothly go up and down. these are actual lots being bought and sold so in reality the price ratchets up and down fairly wildly *while* it follows the prevailing trend - this is the data that your indicator needs to work. it needs to see that the highs are going higher or the lows are going lower. IBFX smooths the tops and bottoms off of EVERY TICK. your EA never gets that valuable volatility info and if you adjust your EA to react to the smoothed version of the tick you will get a ridiculous number of false alarms since you have to react to near normal ranges. THIS MAKES EVERY INDICATOR YOU OWN WORTHLESS.

Poke in the Eye #2: You WISH the Live Feed was swapped with the *Demo* Feed - Ha! (Its mostly unfiltered and unsmoothed. So dont get excited by great demo results - that only proves they get better data than they provide to Live customers. My live vs. demo results were shocking!! the demos indicators worked, chart bars more volatile, etc., the demo account made money while the live shutdown at the maximum loss point *AND* the charts looked dramatically different - Even my 2 day live vs demo test has 3 less trades because of the weaker feed.)

you have been warned........

(lol: been waiting to burn em but wouldnt until i wired my money out. Whew... i feel better now )
P.S. Kiddies always run your EA on Demo and Live per broker - thats the easy way to catch the scammers. Im always comparing at least 2 brokers to find better execution, spreads and service. the day i crashed on IBFX, 3 others charts (including IBFX Demo) showed identical but different EA results from IBFX Live. BUSTED!!)

LOL!! just run your EA on a different broker. look at the charts. they smooth so bad it wont be hard to see. i was in denial like you because they have a nice setup but when i took those screenshots i couldnt believe what i was seeing, that why i did it!!

even after that i stuck it out until i started comparing them to other brokers!! that was the straw that broke *my* back. im not saying that they dont follow that general direction on the market but do you see those different bar *lengths*? the missing dips and missing spikes? they are smoothing the data!!

HA! if the demo looks like the live then theyre smoothing the demo too!!! I liked them too but dont believe me. Download a couple platforms and let your EAs run on them. They will show you the truth. I wont have to say another word. (ahem, they do seem to be leading the poll)

Dang, I can understand a little smoothing to fill in true market gaps but they must have the setting on "RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!"

I don't care what you hear on these forums. You're listening to bucket shop demo mini micro kiddo traders.

This is NOT REAL TRADING.

Get a real ECN, COMMISSION BROKER! VERY SIMPLE! Why you hear these so called horror stories?

Because you're spending too much time on forums that traders I know never even used or heard of.

Good luck
What is ECN broker? Please explain.

So are you gonna do us the honor of telling us the name of your broker?

I couldn't agree with you more however I voted for FXCM as the worst.
IBFX have crap data but so do FXDD.Just in other ways.Need to trade off e-signal data and executions through broker need a fix bridge program thing isn't cheap to get someone to make it.If they don't screw you with a desk they'll get you with the data guaranteed. After all we sign a form not holding them liable for there data being wrong.

You have to be careful with commission, in EFX's case the commission + the spread is simply not worth it.

I have an account with Interbank & I have seen two shockers so far...
1. Bleeding though ticks over just before open to get EA's to open positions before gapping the price.
2. I watched 2 profitable trades simply close for no reason, both were >80 pips from their respective stop losses.

But they do send me a xmas card!
Hello Craig,

Please can you elaborate on what happens with Interactive Brokers ?

I haven't heard nothing.

Thanks
