If you have 50k you can open an account. David M?????? is the most likely person to get back to you in regards to information & the requirment for a Metatrader Pro account is 50k, "Metatrader Pro" his way of Institutional trading via Interbank feeds. This is not his requirment but the broker he is using. Ask for a demo & he will setup you one up within a weeks period. Jorgka

I heard they were good. Has anyone heard of them. Or do you guys have any better suggestions? I want to open a live account for the first time through MT4 right away. I will use a 10k account, and will trade using an EA. Please give me ANY helpful hints on choosing a broker. Also let me know if the Velocity one seems alright- or especially if you know of any better guys. THANKS!

Velocity are good, They accept all orders I requested without any issues. good broker to go with & I recommend them, far better than IBFX & FXDD, where I had manipulation issues, and IBFX traced my IP to stop me trading from time to time, so I just reset my router to obtain new IP address every two days, but Velocity seem not to have these funny games as well. But for how long.

FXDD SWAP discrepancy
I have never paid attention until recently, but when calculating the swap for my fxdd trades i noticed that the positive interest trades are right on the money and the negative swaps are inflated (nearly double what they should be)! What gives? I am basing this on the SWAP values returned to the platform via MarketInfo("CURRENCY",MODE_SWAPLONG or SHORT) times the number of lots. Has anyone else experienced this or can anyone offer me an explanation for the swap not adding up?

swaps
there are only 3 kinds of brokers regarding swaps:
1) bad 2) worse 3) unbelievable! 4) islam-friendly-type bad = pay more on an interest negative position than you receive on interest positive worse = pay alot more unbelievable! = don't pay you interest at all.. but charge for it for sure! (dbfx usually does this) islam-friendly-type (forget the proper name for this) = don't pay, don't receive.. but pay comission for this service (e.g. mig has this I think) NOTE: oops, I didn't read your question.. I guess it is more technical.. I'm not sure why.. but I'll leave this post anyhow in case someone finds it useful
