Good turning points using Williams % range??

I am a fan of the williams percent range - this is the indicator the Asctrend system is based on

However it gyrates up and down alot
I decided to tame it a bit using FXsnipers code for LSMA
(credits for him are in the code)

so far it looks impressive on 30 min charts with wpr period 14 1 hour even looks better!!

be warned tho it does seem to backdraw a couple of bars
so you may get a yellow area then look again and its changed back to another color - so I use other indicators to confirm and because this is very EARLY i use it as a heads up for a swing change..

Criticisms ideas welcome..

enjoy

be nice if this could be addressed..

extra note....

the white line is the "normal" williams percent range indicator overlaid on mine.
as a comparison

williams percent range is a default indicator supplied with meta4 - normally at the bottomish of the indicators

Hi Perky, good job.
I'm using LSMA for sometimes and find this indicator is usefull. This one may be better, but can you make it not to repainting self?

Using the digital filter generator (this soft is here in TSD forum but can´t remember where) you´ll find the dominant frecuencies are: 24 - 35 - 45 - 115 (for 30 min timeframe GBPUSD) play williams with this frecuencies and find the best for you. Read Simba conman thread for more info.

Nicely done there Perky,

Concerning the colors, I managed to code propper coloring for MA's etc. a while ago in MT4, only trouble is it uses all 8 buffers

Best wishes,

FX Sniper

Well, as I remember, I was changing it's color for my comfort. If it has the same code, then it's not repainting itself, just like you've said, it's a matter of waiting for the bar to close. LSMA itself act like a radar in my system (thanks to FX Sniper), it's often tell me about real direction of the price, something that regular MA couldn't do.
Btw, have you build a system around it?

well i use the kuskus system but just experimenting with earlier entries and waddahs explosive thing - god he does good stuff!!

basically waddahs and this is pretty good

when they both agree consider a trade
I normally only trade the UK session

you can try other setting in the :Swpr indicator
the magic# for wpr is 36 period
higher timeframes are better 30min up
