I have an EA that reacts to trades that are opened manually. I'd like to figure out if there is a way to test it when the market is closed (I don't care about pricing, but looking at functionality in my testing).

Are there any available alternatives to do such testing?

You can use the "MSFX - Tick Sender" to simulate a tick every X seconds and it should trigger your code so that you can debug... That's what I use when I want to work and the market is closed ... Hopefully that will help.
( you most likely already know this but let me add that this will not help with Order Processing code on weekends just objects, comments etc ... )
