Arrow System Performance and DualCore-Processors

Hi forex-tsd.com Members,
I have make a trading system, but that do not running realy good on my PC.
The CPU-Power is always on 100% and MetaTrader4 is very very slow...

I have a Intel Celeron D400 2,00GHz Prozessor now.
Now I'am think, if buy a DualCore-Processor for better System-Power, but:
Supported the MetaTrader4-Software anyway Intel DualCore-Processors (or Intel QuadCore-Processors)?

Thanks!

MKRoxton

TRY ADDING MORE RAM. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I ONLY HAD 500MB OF RAM AND ALL MY TESTING WAS EXTREAMLY SLOW. SO WHEN I MAXED OUT THE RAM TO 4GB THE COMPUTER STARTED RUNNING WAY MORE SMOOTHER. I HAVE ABOUT 20 META TRADERS RUNNING ON MY PC. ALL WORK WELL

Check how many bars you are printing per chart.

If you are running 4 charts with maximum amount of bars added, that's going to slow down your computer.

Check your options toolbar.

As for CPU, MT4 will only make use of 1 CPU. If your focus is to speed up your testing, then getting the fastest single CPU machine you can find is a better option than getting dual/quad cores where the additional cores would just be sitting idle.

No RAM-Problem is showing.

Hi,
thanks for replys!

@Walander
@newdigital

Yes, when I make lesser Bars in Chart the Performance is better, but not
perfect.

--------

@Ebenezer7482

My RAM is by 2,00GB and show the attached Picture -> I have many free memory!

--------

@prasxz

I use many indicators (I believe 51 Pieces) in one Chart. I have no other Charts open in MT4 and no other application runs, wehn Metatrader4 is running.

I use 51x times the equal indicator. The indicator is calling "Extrapolator".
Here you can download it:
Forex Signals

--------

Thanks!

Is the MT4 only thing running? It could be other applications.

Waoh!

The extrapolator I believe is very CPU instensive, if you are using 51 instances of it, it will definitely eat your processor up.

Mladen may be able to clarify, but, to my own belief, I think that indicator is processor intensive.

What does that indicator actually display and calculate?
