Hi - could anyone code an indicator which either paints the bar a different colour or shows an arrow if the bar closes within x% of high or low.
eg:
if bar closes in top 33% (top third) show up arrow or paint bar colour or
if bar closes in bottom 33% (bottom third) show down arrow or paint bar colour

If anyone could do that I can discuss possible strategies for use

This may be what you are looking for, it tells if the close is of x percent from high or low, for example if the close is grater than %60 for the standard setting then the indicator puts an arrow to say that it is a strong day.

Good, let me know how you go with this indicator. Its a good idea and may be something that can be improved somewhat.
