I am looking for anyone that can guide me based on there own personal experience or the experience they've heard from others.

I live in the US and am considering using e-gold as it appears to be very fast to fund and withdraw funds from overseas brokers. However, I would like to know any gotchas or things to be aware of.

1. Is it safer to do a bank wire transfer?
2. Is it more costly to a bank transfer vs. e-gold?
3. What kind of administrative charges are there with e-gold that I might avoid by doing a bank transfer?
4. Are the charges that I might experience so small that it's worth the time I save waiting for the broker to receive the transfer and also the time to wait for withdrawing?
5. What about when the price of gold flutuates. If it drops like a rock, do I lose a bunch of money?

I can also ask these same questions to e-gold, but I like to ask people that have used them first. I am looking at opening with North Finance. The IB from NF said the service interruption was the first they've experienced in years and they are addressing the problem.

I think it is starting to look this way with MT4 brokers.

Lots of dirty pool. I even suspect CoesFX - bad NFA report and they do not answer presales queries.

MB is looking at taking on MT4. Hope they do - I like them a lot.

I do not know these folks. But no where on their site do they make a statement if they are an ECN or not.

Being an ECN is a major bonus. (Dealing Desk outfits are bad places - bar none.)

Taking a look at th NFA website shows theat the prez came from a place where there were 147 reparations case files against them

I would like to ask you about your recomendations, as I am looking for a broker to implement my strategy.
I have been with Oanda for some time, my overall impression about them is positive, unfortunately, I really need higher leverage than their 1:50. Please spare me the possible remarks about how that kind of leverage is far enough for any reasonable trading, because I really know what I am doing. I need at least 1:100, preferably 1:200. Also Oanda's charting, well... I strongly prefer MT4.
It is essential for me to be able to compound percent after percent, that is why I am looking for a broker who enables it by offering Oanda's style unit order sizing.

Many thanks to all the contributors on this forum. It is a great resource for my trading education.
