Opinion? : FANTASTIC!

Is it worth the time? : I'm sure it would be great for more MT4 coders to be better able to access the vast library of EasyLanguage indicators and systems. This library was developed over many years, by many Tradestation users and now it's both huge and sophisticated. Many indicators that TS users take for granted are still unavailable in MT. I see people still struggling to find stuff like an MT version of the 'R-Squared' indicator, which is just an obvious, basic part of a traders toolkit, and is built-into Tradestation. There are many, many missing tools like this in the MT world. And, I have yet to see 'deeper tools' like Haar Wavelets in MT, not to mention cool stuff like the Discrete Cosine Transform, etc., etc..

The Metatrader organization should pay you for doing this. They should have done something like this themselves... a long time ago...

On another note: If anybody knows of effective/efficient/userfriendly ways to use Tradestation with MT brokers, that would be huge. AFAIK, the available methods are pretty unwieldy or userUNfriendly ...

Tradestation's backtesting and especially optimization capabilities + non-dealing desk brokers = wealth engines within reach.

I would have thought it would be more useful to find a way to use MT4 with ECN brokers...

Now that you mention it, MT4 with ECN brokers would be excellent!

Tradestation with ECN brokers would be excellent too...

You don't have to look further than this forum. Codersguru has made an excellent tutorial series that everyone should go through:

Does TradeStation's Easy Language have likes of EA autotrade?

Hi all,

sorry if i sound stupid...i am very new to this Meta thingy and am not a programmer...only knows a little.

Question:
1) is there the likes of EA for TradeStation's Easy Language as for MT4?
2) if so, could i in anyway convert a MT4 EA into something usable on a TradeStation or do i have to reprogram it?
3)it would be a dream come thru because i found a website that would help link Tradestation with Oanda (lowest spread in town!)...but they don't offer for MT4.
http://www.snapdragon.co.uk/sdshome.htm

Look forward to all your help.
Many thanks,
Ed

Hi Codersguru,

Please let us know more about the EasyLanguage tutorial.

I find it as a great idea as the the backtesting capabilities of the TS are much better of those given in the MT4. (and without good backtesting you can't do a lot in automatic trading)...

Thank you and good luck
