Just for fun, I thought I would try the backtester on this one. I used the combined expert, otherwise a backtest would not be possible, so I'm not sure how the two separate experts and the combined one compare. However, with the low risk settings I'm using for forward testing, the results are similar over the same period; the backtest is slightly better and has a smoother equity curve.

I also tried the mini version, from the beginning of the year, using IBFX 5 min data and every tick, and starting with $10,000. This is what I get:



The report is attached. Looks decent enough to me. The results are somewhat dependent on the timeframe used (which shouldn't be the case), but nothing to blow the account.

Note that, when presenting this EA, cucurucu indicated that settings should be conservative and that sufficient starting balance should be used.

Thanks che. This will be very helpful for me as I wasn't satisfied with the modelling quality levels I was getting with my backtests. Even with Alpari and downloading the history files I could not get 90%. Thanks again.

HI, sorry, no, this is the correct EA above. The previous one, on post 14, contained a script error which did not close all orders at 5% but only a few of them. This one closes them all.

I am enjoying this new thread. I am a big fan of 10pts3 but have always feared the >100 pip swings.

Can you please explain the close all trades 5% feature in a little more detail? Once open trades are closed does it automatically get back into new trades? If so, isn't this just reallocating your account automatically which really wouldn't be considered a safety feature, just a money management feature?

Am I wrong?
