I've been receiving email from people asking for ammendment on the trading system I decided to share earlier. Please, be patience. Run some forward test before you request for furthur changes. I've been working with 10point3 for awhile, I'm pretty sure of what am I doing on the EA. V12 is 1 of the earliest version that I unexpected it will turn up to be profitable, therefor I put it on full test mode now. The passes 2 months I've been massive production on multi version of martingale base EA, and I keep quiet before I havent seens any furthur result on my forward test. All the while I'm too rely on backtest, now I know the backtest is meant for curve fitting. It will not help us on our future trading or finding a good stop loss or TP. All the EAs I've been making these days is rubbish, non of them can perform well on the forward testing. Some build enough profits and wipe out the entire account within few minutes. And finally seeing some action on V12, so I decided to put it on group testing, and hope to find some good solution to maximize the performance on it. Please, start testing it and hope to see your statement and good settings on it. If you can afford, run it on 2 different broker, different mode. Whether Agressive=True/False, I did like to see the difference between them. I'll be working based on V12 to produce a super machine to trade your account from 250 bucks. I think that is what we're looking for all the while. Low risk approach to get maximum profit. Once the account grew, withdraw our initial capital and play with the profits. Start run forward test. I gave up backtest. Hereby attach some of my work, and see how sucky they are. Showing great results on backtest, and wipe out few of my demo account!

and there is more here. all of them turn up to be rubbish! All the test brought the account from 250 to more then 1000% base on 2006 backtest. But none of them work out this 2 months on 2007. Good job David. You just waste your fucking precious time!

I dont know how to answer your question. But I've never run any backtest with this system prior to my forward testing. And I did show you how difference is my forward test and back test. And I'm sure that is the reason why we need group testing. This is a live EA, not living in backtest. It will not produce good result on backtest, but forward testing. EVEN LIVE TRADING!!! I belive I show enough live trading results previously. Do you want another copy?

If open next position and close previous, better all profit, I think... idea.

performance 2007... we'll see.

And next idea... equity protection, dont need withdraw deposit, only blocking for use EA.

Nice observation, Miracle is V12 with conservative mode. Agressive_Mode=False. MaxTrade=7, PipStep=4, Profit=10 Good luck on your exploration. Do whatever you like before the market opening. Make sure you stick to your settings for a while until we get a reliable forward testing data.

I guess backtesting is a dirty word in these parts

I've spent the day trying to find ways of improving results. I've been reading posts and downloading data files, trying different brokers, runing numerous backtest etc. etc. I've not been able to make any headway.

I can see why a scalping EA would suffer in backtest, but any normal EA ... I can't see why the backtests provide such erroneous results.

I've seen people selling EA with backtest. Because you can make the EA to be profitable on passed result. You can curve fit the system to be 100% profitable in passed data. This is called curve fitting. This type of EA will not perform well in your live trading. There is nothing wrong with the backtest, but we should not too rely on the backtest to tweak the target/stop loss. Market is dynamic, changing the trading range everyday. Therefore, what you can see from the backtest is meant for the past data, might not be applicable with your live trades. That is why I put you guys togather for the future forward testing. I want an EA which is work in the future, not in the past!
