At $5.00 a pip, with a current DD of -$550 is becoming quite entertaining.

I increased the risk to 99% which makes the account to be the same as $5000 with EP 50%.
There is not enough time to wire some money across.

The level 9 is about 110 pips above the current price.
The Fibbo 38.2%, is persistently staring at me from the above laughing its heart out, and wants to play games with the price.
That is about 170 pips above the current price.

Other than that I am fine and having great fun.

George
I feel your pain. I'll assume you're 200:1? At what
margin percentage will your broker halt trading, and
at what percentage will trades be closed? Just curious,
since it's 100% and 50%, respectively, for IBFX, which
means my account is really 400:1.

Are you speaking of Blessing? If so, you must have one
hell of an account. If not, what are doing on this thread?

Hi Rob
At this stage the Dynamic DD IS - $755 and margin level 2580%.
There is some room to move.

I don't know what your balance is, but the margin
percentage looks fine. You should be O.K.

Let's get that retrace.

Not working on GOLD anymore

ALPARI UK might have changed something over the weekend because now, with the same settings, I get "invalid SL or TP." Same thing with ActivTrades, also on indices.
Maybe it´s just that pending orders are too close to market price?

latest info:
With ALPARI UK it is 10 pip distance from silver, 100 pips from gold.

Lotsize

Hi Iron,

hope that you are still arround.

First I'm still interested how the lotsize is calculated in Blessing, see the below-mentioned post.

The reason is that in real blessing causes different lotsizes than is should according to the calculation.
In the attached excel-file (zipped) I calculated the lotsize as a function of the multiplier and level.
Since the incrementel step of the lotsize is 0.01 and the calculation gives uneven numbers the result has to be rounded (round up, round, round down).
But even if I consider these different possibilities, blessing gives me different results (see the excel file).
The correct calculation should be:
lotsize for a certain level = starting Lotsize x Multiplier ^(level-1)

Probably the calculation in the scribt is different.
Can you check that please? That is important. I have to understand the calculation otherwise I can't verify the results.

Another question:
In the case that an EP happens and the total equity false below the initial account value (e.g. lower 10.000, 4 pairs each 2500), what would you suggest?
I started the system again but with a lower amount (e.g. 9600, 2400 for each pair) which is below the critical value (2500).
I guess to take these cases into consideration one should start with an amount of lets say 12000 and to portion each pair 2500 instead 3000. That gives more room for dips.

Secondly I observed a strange behaviour:
For backtests I usually use for the initial account $2,500 and the portion is set to 1.
According to my understanding I should get the same results with an initial account of $10,000 and a portion of 4.
Unfortunately this is not the case. The result is different.
Any explanations for that?

Best

Antomi

Hello Rob,
let’s put some wood in the fire. ( Aud/Usd)
The price has hit level 9.
Running DD -$1150. The Fibbo 38.2% has already turned the music on, and ready to tango.
Our Lady price is in her dancing dress and shoes, and is running towards Fibbo, about 60 pips north.

After level 9, every pip is $7.5, and that is really entertaining.
Anyhow, hopefully she will do what most of the women that I know, do!!!
Change her mind. (Sorry Ladies just joking).

Of course I could have stopped all this, by taking a little loss in the beginning, and let Blessing decide the direction, but that would interfere with Blessings rhythm.

Best Regards

Forward Test

To all!

Hi, here is the third weekly report of my forward test. The first can be found in post 865, the second in post 936.
This time I was again not so fortune. In 2 weeks Blessing had to except 2 EP-stops.
Now only 3 pairs are still in the game in order to provide enough breath for each pair.

Is Blessing still a blessing? Let's see how it works.

Since I learned from this experience I started a new forward test again with 4 pairs, but different settings.
If some one is interested he/she can watch it live:

As for the .set files, I thing I will pass on that.

Best Regards
