Hello all,

Thanks to all for the contribution to this mail and most especially to derk for taking his time to ensure that all request are programmed for the betterment of the EA.

I believe that very soon, we will have the best EA and Indi around.

??? Maybe, you just start with a brandclean graphics, without any indicators at all. Then just put the EA to work. 1hr or 4hr. So no Hei, etc, nothing on it.
And try it on different fps like NF, Alpari, WHC then lets see what happens.

The missing file is a proprietary indicator from CompassFx. If you do not have it, it will just skip using it.

Not sure about your multiple orders. Do you have SplitOrder turned on? If so, that is why.

Yes, you are right; I set up my internal folder structure correctly now so the .zip file can just be extracted to your top level broker folder. For example with FXDD, just right-click drag and drop the .zip file onto

C:\Program Files\FXDD - MetaTrader 4

then select "extract to here", and it will put the files in the right places.


Post #65 has the right files in it now; somehow the lib files did not copy correctly last time; sorry all.

That is a message from your broker that your connection is down. If it persists, call your broker.

However, if you are not connected, not sure how EA is running. Anyone else have any input?

Losses and losses
Here are my overnight results. I have put the EA on 10 pairs to see if there might have been a problem with the pairs I used prior to last night. Still losing massively with rood's settings.

Can anyone suggest what is going wrong here?

Hi Autumn, I looked over your file and noticed that all of your 'buys' were currencies that are going short (see daily chart). Also, one of the biggest losses on your 'sells' was EURUSD but the trend for this currency is long (see daily chart). My opinion is that the EA must only trade in direction of the primary trend. I don't think it will work just turning it on for long and short(unless we add a trend filter for daily and 4hr). I removed all your trades that went against the trend and your losses went from -4246 to -774. Not sure why, maybe your stops are too tight. I have made approx 400pips in the last 2 weeks(demo still) by only trading in the direction of the daily and 4hr. Hope this helps, thx mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your analysis, which appears to make good sense. However, I am trying to test Synergy as an EA, so I avoid making manual interventions. I want to find settings that will enable the EA to work on its own.

That being said, I decided to go back to optimization for the weekend and see if I can achieve some results just putting it through the grinder. So far I'm not sure whether this is going to prove fruitful.
