Hi everyone,

I'm currently trading forex a breakout strategy similar to what's been discussed in this thread. I've just started a blog to track its progress on 4 pairs: GBP/USD, USD/JPY, EUR/JPY, and GBP/JPY. Check it out: http://forexinitiative.blogspot.com/

I like your blog and thanks for the research you are doing. Are you aware there is a later version with a 55 EMA as a filter?

I don't think I've seen that. How is the 55 ema being used? (I actually have the 55 ema as one of my moving averages, since I know it's pretty heavily used by Japanese financial institutions, but I haven't noticed any strong patterns yet.)

I've thought about trading the EUR/USD too...I think 4 pairs is sufficient to monitor at once for now, but if I end up dropping one, that's probably the next I'll pick up to test.

Sorry for not updating this EA. Here is my latest version. It does not have your MM features, but it only place one trade when the AHAL box is breach.

Please let me know if there's any bugs etc.

UPDATE: I will be posting a new version of the EA next week. The new version will place two trades with TP1 and TP2 upon AHAL breach. It will also have BE and TS embedded.

I have finished coding this EA. This version follows FXOperator's strategy to the letter.

AsianOpen. Set this to your broker clock's equivalent to 0000 GMT.
AsianClose. Set this to 0600 GMT.
MarketClose. No trades after this time.
MinRange. No trades if High-Low is less than this.
MaxRange. No trades if High-Low is more than this.
Buffer. Place trade when price goes above/below Asian High/Low + this many pips.

The rest is self-explanatory.
