15 pips in the pocket

Almost made a grave mistake because I'm using FXDD MT4 as my charting platform. I entered my buy order at 1.9625, which was supposed to be 1.9612 as the Asian High. I don't know why the Trillion indicated as 625, but anyway, target profit 1 was triggered nonetheless. Today the momentum was unable to sustain and so 15 pips in the pocket. Tomorrow next.

Thanks karl, I did not test on other pairs, please let us know your results soon.

If ffoperator placed the order at 6.00 GMT, the high should be : 1.9640 , and low : 1.9569
but because ffoperator order at around 4.50 GMT, the high is still at : 1.9621 and low : 1.9569
I think it will be a problem since fxoperator says we look at 6.00 GMT ( not around 04.50 GMT )
Did I get the GMT wrong? I'm on Asian Time Zone and I enter my orders at around 1300H Singapore Time. On FXDD, I think the time shows 0700H. I assumed that time was 0600H - 0700H time frame. The Asian High Low usually will be decided by then.

i think 2pm your time is 0700GMT so if you place trades at 1400 your time it is 0700GMT here.

yup Singapore is GMT + 7

Hi fxoperator,

Thank you for your reply,
I live in Western Australia, which is GMT+8, the same as in Singapore.
if in Singapore is 13.00, so GMT time should be 5.00 GMT ( 13-8 = 5 )
FXDD time is GMT+3, if fxdd chart shows 0700H = 7-3 = 04.00 GMT

I saw you have entered the order at around 7.50 ( based on your fxdd chart that you posted ), so it equals to 7.50 - 3 = around 4.50 gmt = 05.00 gmt
or nearly 13.00 singapore time

Regards,
Popok

if FXDD is +3 GMT then if fxdd chart shows 0700H then yes it is 0400GMT

ok here we go at the start of the thread FXOP placed trades at 0600GMT and now in last post it is 0500GMT.

During testing I have been placing trades between 0600GMT and 0640GMT
I just log onto chart and place stop orders where CURRENT high and low lines are already on the chart. I don't use indicator because I'm on vtrader, I have had same success as the rest even with having slightly different high and low prices. Only exception is I had a loss because my stop was too small at 10 pips.

Now because i suppose new highs and lows can easily be made between this time I think it is probably better to place orders from 0500GMT.

just my 2 pips as they say here

There is some confusion in the timing. I don't know if there is any DST on GMT. and reading back at the threads, yes it should be GMT 0500 my apologies.

Please note that I will look to enter at GMT 0500H and do note the timing on this forum when I posted all my entries earlier.
