i think the 4hSATL give only a valid signal, when SATL- time of 4 hours it closed.It is not closed, i use only direction of the SATL before. Or i have any not understand?

Hi Seehund,

First,this system is mainly for GBPUSD,but ok,you can use it with the other major pairs too,though results are not as positive as with GBPUSD,since the settings have been designed with GBPUSD in mind.

Please see my pic,for your EURUSD trade,entry is ok(4h completed SATL concept is right),but you should have closed inmediately,when the Chandelier changed colour,at a small 5 to 10 pips loss.

I think that your chart lacks some indicators,so,please go to my first post of this thread,where I have updated the indicators and template,unzip and extract the template and indicators.In addition,if you have not done so,be so kind to read all the relevant posts of this thread,regarding rules,indicators,etc.

The indicator you ask for is only the 4hMTF SATL,on histogram version ,that I created to see if it helped me have clearer charts..It can be visually misleading,since it starts changing colour before the 4h bar completion(like the MTF SATL),so,I prefer to use the SATL,it is visually more informative and less misleading..you usually see the actual 4h period completion as a "step",so you have more probabilities to remember the rule of 4h bar completion..

Hi everybody,

O.K., so if I understand it properly, with any MTF indicator that we use, we look at last complete bar. The part that is forming right now (changing colors) is supposed to be ignored. That's great, because it makes backtesting easier and more reliable.

Attached to this, I'm sending the indicator for pivots, supports ,and resistances that you can use when taking a look at charts other than today's. It is named Dolly because I just modified Dolly indicator to make this one - you can rename it to anything you want.

Hope it helps someone. Before going live with anything, I prefer to do some backtesting as well...

I have one more question though. Suppose that in the last picture I posted, all of our indicators would give us a buy signal (I know it really wasn't a buy signal). Where would we place the stop, since our entry would be BELOW the level where we would put it according to Chandelier...? I guess that the fact we have no stop below the entry doesn't mean we trade without a stop

Hi all and simba,

i`ve attached the template from site 1, now it is the chart with 2 Satl Lines.
Both, one is of periode 60 and one of periode 240 bar.

How use i this both lines correctly? We can take the case from the pic to explanation.

oh sorry, i see the next problem. I have two different SATL display by two different Brokers. I use FXDD and alpari. See the different pic to the pic from alpari above.

It is the problem a different Timesetting of the brokers?

What can i do?

ok, i have answer the question myself. FXDD have a other timesettin from +1hour.

But perhaps immediately to the pic. The two satl lines to have do same crossing. It this situation to pay attention to?
