The other estimation about re-painting is here "heaven-red" aka step choppy bars : I used screenshot script to evaluate StepChoppyBars_v2 indicator. Everything was posted here (indicators and screenshots) http://www.forex-tsd.com/152772-post95.html

And I think every indicator may be estimated like this: using small timeframe and creenshot indicator doing screenshot with periodicity of every bar.
For example, we may attach any indicatir for GBPJPY M1 timeframe (just for example) and attach screen shot indicator. And screen shot indicatyor weill may an image in every bar (every minutes). So we will have 60 images for 60 bars. Automatically.

We may create movie using those images

It is the best and easy way to know about paiting or re-painting.

But it is technical discussion.

Other discussion (not technical) may be done in this section http://www.forex-tsd.com/non-related-discussions/

I did not look at your attachments.
But I think most of the indicators are not repainting (not from your attachments).

Basicly we are having the following cases:

1. Indicators which are re-painting and trusted. Those indicators were created especially to re-paint. Standard zigzag for example. Or float indicatior. Some patterns indicators (some high/low indicators and so on). We don't need to check it.

2. MTF indicators. Those indicators must re-paint open bar on high timeframe. For example if you attach MTF indicator to M1 chart with H1 settings so this indicator must re-paint open H1 bar which is up to 59 bars on M1 timeframe.
How to use MTF indicators in EAs? It is not easy. There is few posts of iGoR in this thread (don't need to look at the whole thread - we need just few posts made by iGoR) http://www.forex-tsd.com/suggestions...eled-here.html
As to my experience so I am using MTF indicators (if any) with close bar. And in our M1 chart/H1 setting it is up to 1 hour ago. So, can you imagine comfirmation with MTF which was done 1 hour ago for the recent conclusion? But if we use MTF on open highier bar so no any backtest is reliable. Thus, it is not easy to use MTF in EAs.
Anyway, MTF indicators must re-paint open bar on high timeframe.

3. There are indicators which are having the bug. Those indicators are re-painting because of the bug.

4. There are indicators which are not re-painting and trusted. Those indicators are majority.

Basicly many people are complaining about case #3: indicators which are having the bug. And not so many of those indicators. So, we are doing with case #3 on this thread. Because majority (case #4) are not re-painting and trusted.

Everybody may check for repainting. Just attach indicator to the chart, attach Screenshot indicator and forget for half a day. Screenshot indicator will make the images (1 image per bar) and compare the images.
