Just to share my experience....I did their demo some months ago out of curiosity and found that none of the indicators that they market were anything out of the ordinary including heat map. I recall asking a question about one of their primary indicators and I stated that it looked like an ordinary moving average but got an unequivocal no. To make a long story short I figured out that it indeed was an EMA, when I applied my EMA to the chart their "proprietary" line would disappear only when the exact ema was applied thereby confirming that this indicator was an ema. The flip side is that my firm belief is that no indicator is necessarily good nor bad because at the end of the day it's all about whose behind the wheel and in this case the Trader is always driving and therefore the Trader is always primary. A good Trader who can understand price action can use most indicators, the flip side is that a good trader doesn't need indicators for the most part. I'd rather not slam these guys because it all depends on how much you understand the market however these indicators alone are not a holy grail if indeed that is what you are searching for. My two cents.

Thanks for the story goldensight, this one will tell to be aware of future scams
![]() And its true about indicator nor being nor good their are a just indicator distorting the past to make more easier to understand the (POSSIBLE FUTURE) sorry no holy grill for you today ![]() Some people have outstanding analytic skills level 2 trading, fundamentals, price action, understanding what in the world is the market doing. but i like to be more of a mechanical trader because i dont have the slightest idea why prices are moving like a wild duck without news. and about why i am very interested in this particular indicator its plots the currency thats truly weak or strong by comparing others http://fxtrade.oanda.com/cgi/fxheatmap/heatmap.pl http://fxtrade.oanda.com/currencyCor...s/heatmap.html i dont now if it will work in a short term trading, but in long term i think it will work ![]()

In response to the trader who asked us if our Balance Point line a moving average. It is not. It may resemble a moving average and even mirror one (usually 50 period) but it is VWAP. Basically we use tick data to show the average price over a period, 180 mins is our favorite. It will be similar to a 180 min moving average on a 1 min chart or 36 period on a 5 min chart but is NOT the same.
A moving average takes closing prices of the candles/bars and averages them. VWAP takes EVERY trade and averages them. On slow moving and non trending currencies they may appear identical but on trending currencies ours is MUCH faster and gives you entries on pullbacks you would never get using outdated moving averages. We have a free trial and anybody with esignal forex data can signup and see for themselves. Just pick a currency that is trending and you will see what I'm saying is 100% correct. That other trader was mistaken. This concept works so well we use our Balance Point (VWAP) technology in our currency meter that always shows the strongest/weakest pairs and auto links those to your charts. I run 3 monitors but on 2 I have 6 of the strongest currencies I buy on pullbacks and on other monitor I watch 6 weakest currencies I short at resistance levels. There are MANY scams out there in the Forex world but we are not one of them as our TOP rating on Forex Bastards shows. I'll even give anybody a week free of our mentoring to see for themselves. There IS a reason why we give our software away FREE, it works. Chris Donnell Last edited by LeverageFX; 08-02-2007 at 03:59 PM. |
