Limit on moving average period

HI Guys,

This is my first post to this forum.I want to get a moving average for a period greater than 4000. MetaTrader doesnt accept any period more than 4000, it defaults it to 14.

Is this a bug/limitation or do I need to some additional settings change.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Avinash

It's a limitation of the standard MA indicator that has a lot of sense.

Hi,
I'm looking for an Indicator which indicates the distance between 2 MA's in a histogram or line.

The obove ma-distance-kinonen is doing a similar job. Maybe someone can modifiy it, or even better it is somewhere already available.

Hope that someone can help me.

Best

EMA Crossover Help!

I love this simple ema crossover indicator with alerts...
BUT can someone add one more thing when it signals...
I want dotted horizontal lines drawn straight down the chart
top to bottom when the ema cross signals.. green dotted
down the price chart thru the signal candle all the way down
for a long up cross and red dotted down for a down cross.

Like the t3 rsi ac2 indicator does when levels are hit
but it does one color all the way down, red for any signal..
I want those lines straight down when the ema cross signals..
for an up cross green dotted for a down cross red.

Here is why.. I know I and soooo many other systems use
one filter or series of filters.. I use short time frame trading
mostly so I need to see in 2 seconds yes everything lines up
under that cross or not.. I can see straight down and
its all lined up with the line drawn down.

Simply make it super fast to line up the other indicators
people use to confirm the cross.. in my case a couple
I want to just exactly line up with the cross...
I have several monitors and it would be a great help
for me..but even on one monitor, if you are using
multiple indicators, this could help others in
making a quick decision.

Anybody can help?

thanks!

Please can someone do? If they all need to be one color, that is ok..
just a dotted line straight down the candle and down thru the indicators
below, ie like the t3 rsi ac2 does when it hits levels, this would add
that to the ema crossover for when a cross is signaled we get
a dotted line down marking it as well with the arrow
and helping to line up the indicators below on your charts :O)
