i know this has been discussed on several forums including this one, but try using envelope indicator, the standard one that comes with MT4. You'll achieve nearly identical results. Play around with the settings till you find a sweet spot.

Period: 21
MA method: EMA
Deviation: 0.60%

I do not know what all the fuss is about that indicator. All it is is a bad clone of the envelope indicator.

Look at MT3 indicators' section. There is some thread with signal indicators and one of the indicator is similar with what you are asking and an other one is very similar.

So all that you need just select from "similar" to "very similar".
"Similar" is based on some channel or envelope, or some price channel indicator probably. "Very similar" is base on some channel or envelope and ATR.
