Hi FX Sniper,

Your sw looks like a traffic light . Red = Stop, Green = Go,

I observed the color changing trend base on EMA34 ,
when the price hit the line the color becomes yellow
Prices below/above the ema line = green ( trendy).

Anyway good job

Hi there all !

Me again, had some time on hand so decided to get a bit more creative. Unfortunately there are some limitations in MT4 that prevents me from creating a true single visual indicator representation of Woodies great tools, such as a limit to the amount of indicator buffers available etc, these unfortunately forces us to sometimes use more than one indicator and overlay them onto one frame.

As you know, Red Duke coded the initial ChopZone indicator for MT4. I have contacted both Red Duke and Woodie himself also to get hold of the CZI logic in order to lessen the amount of indicators needed to pull this off.

What I wanted to create in the end is a CCI chart with both the SideWinder and the Chop Zone indicator overlaid as you can see in the chart I attach. I believe it takes up less space like that and we can focus on a larger CCI frame etc.

Until I can get hold of the code logic from either Woodie or Red Duke, I have created an CZI overlay which sponges off Red Duke’s CZI indicator. You DO NOT have to put the CZI indicator on your chart, simply have it in your indicator folder and then place the attached CZI Overlay indicator over your CCI chart. (This has been resolved also, please refer to post number 24 for a stand-alone version.)

Also, in order to pull this off, we need to replace the previous version of the SideWinder Overlay with the latest one also attached to this post.

Also attached to this post is Red Duke’s CZI indicator which you simply need to put into your regular indicator folder if you do not already have it there.

Once more thanks to Red Duke for coding the CZI and helping to put the puzzle together. If anyone out there can help me at an earlier time with the CZI logic, we can get to a finalized version of the overlay indicators much sooner.

Best wishes and happy hunting.

FX Sniper

NOTE: All the latest versions of the indicators are to be found at post number 24 of this thread SideWinder for CCI: My first release

Hi there, I do not have a cooking clue what Traffic Light is accept for the one's I see on the street corners

Please be reminded that SideWinder is not my indicator, I did not develop it or endorse it, it is an invention of Woodie and his programmers. I have merely presented it in MT4 format so that Forex traders who use this MT4 platform now also have access to it and can follow along with the rest of the gang over at Woodies.

I am however quite sure whatever this traffic light thing is, any resemblance is merely coincidental as I know how it is calculated I can also assure you your deductions are wrong with regards to what it is, however, the purpose of this thread is not to debate the mechanics of the indicators, there is a really great CCI forum over at: http://woodiescciclub.com/forum/inde...8c0f9c9b24ff87 where you can discuss the math’s and concepts behind it as well as free recorded lectures from the live chat rooms and of course the live chat rooms which are all for free as well.

I am not a CCI trader, but can not help to appreciate the value of these indicators and to be appreciative towards Woodie and his team for selflessly sharing this with the masses.

Best wishes and happy trading.

Exclamation Indicator Collection.

Hi, this post will serve as the central download post, the latest versions will always be available from this post, all other versions will now be deleted from prev. posts.

Woodies ChopZone Indicator Overlay Final Version.

Thanks to some collaboration with Red Duke, I have now completed a STAND-ALONE version of the CZI indicator, you do not need to have the original CZI.mq4 file anymore as all code is contained within this overlay.

A minor fix will also prevent any problems displaying it on pairs with point values other than 4 digits etc.

Thank you Red Duke for the nice "team work"

Woodies SideWinder Indicator Overlay Semi-Final Version

This is the semi-final overlay version of this indicator as the final one will contain amendments in case any neccessary after I am able to compare it some more. Any one interested in comparing this version to eSignal etc. will be of great help so that we can wrap this one up as well.

How to set them up:

If you have any of the prev. versions in you indicator folder, remove them. Then save the new set into the indicator folder.

Simply display your fav. CCI indicator, the built in one in MT4 or a custom built one like the SuperWoodiesCCI etc.

Once it is set up to your liking, simply drag and drop the two overlay indicators onto your CCI chart.

DO NOT make changes to the "Fixed minimum" and "Fixed maximum" settings when placing them.

Upgrade information - What's new ?

Last Update Date: 13/08/2006 @ 22H00
  1. Created a optional setting to set the size of the display bars ( requested by Bonnie ) on both indicators. Please bare in mind that if you zoom out to far, eventually MT4 will mush them together again, you can only set them so small, but this setting should already help a lot.
  2. Created an optional setting to enable/disable the display of the angles in the top left hand corner ( requested by Nirvanatiger over at SBFX )
Last Update: 14/08/2006 @ 8:15
  1. Removed Angles from showing at all.
  2. Extended beta clean up code till end of Decmeber 2006.
Last Update: 14/08/2006 @ 08:06
  1. Fixed cross platform display etc. on the CZI Overlay, should work all over now I suppose.
Last Update: 15/08/2006 @ 08:32
  1. Removed uneccasary info cluttering the overlay display titles.
  2. Small improvement on the visibility of the CZI overlay.
  3. Added a custom CCI version which displays the LSMA on the Zero Line.
Last Update: 16/08/2006 @ 10:40
  1. Phew Ok, as requested a much more accurate visual representation of the Woodie CCI with the LSMA injected on the ZL. Sorry though that I can not add all the alerts and other bells and whistles that the DoubleCCI-woodies has, no time now.

LSMA can not be made into an overlay as it would have no way to know where the screen position of the ZL on the underlying CCI would be because it would draw in it's own scale. The only way to get it on the ZL is to inject the LSMA into the CCI code itself. Remember , the screen posision of the ZL etc. move all the time.
Last Update: 17/08/2006 @ 12:00
  1. Thanks to Bonnie who noticed a problem with the LSMA on the Zero Line, it is now fixed.
Thats it

Best wishes !

FX Sniper

NOTES:
  1. When placing the indicators, aspecially after a new MT4 setup installation, make sure you have enough history on the particular pair otherwise it will just show up blank. There is a setting on each indicator called "limit" which tells the indicators for how far into the past it must draw. If you do not have history equal of more than this figure, you will only see a blank indicator.

Alternatively, change the "limit" setting to a lessor value such as 500 for exmaple.

Hi, FX Sniper:

Thanks for sharing your new ChopZone and SideWinder indicator with us.

In post #23 you tell us you are not a CCI trader. What indicators, if any, do you use in your Forex trading. What would you recommend for the 5 minute time frame? By the way, I really like your Ergodic CCI & Trigger. Thanks again.

Hello Rancho !

Although I am not trading using the CCI, there is a parrallel between what Woodie would call a ZLR ( zero line reject ) and the trades that I take which are all trend based.

I have an customized momentum indicator which I built spesifically for locating dips during strong trending markets while most regular momentum oscillators stop working in trending markets.

I have however always been on the lookout for a good trend quality filter and SW and CZI has now only grabed my attention. If it works for ZLR trades it sure as hell will work for my regular trend trades.

I will perhaps in the future start a thread where we could discuss all the ideas and share all the indicators I have built which include many quality statistical tools such as R-Squared, R-Slope, variouse correlation indicators etc...all these of course are not used in my current trade plan but was developed and coded due to an ongoing thurst for knowledge and entertainment No point in fixing something that aint broken.

Will look forward to perhaps seeing you there !

Kind regards,

FX Sniper

Come on now, FX Sniper. You got my attention one more time. This is your moment and your got momentum. But, I am hanging here in curiousity now. I only use the regular Momentum indicator and the RSI-TC, if needed, to help me out on trend direction and its strength. If you don't mind, would you please share and explain you customized momentum indicator.

I have tried the Woodies CCI set of indicators trading e minis and forex. But I just could not handle all them patterns. ZLR is the only thing I can figure out. Like I said, I want it simple and effective. You, raff1410, Igorad, and many others in this TSD community are making it happen.

Hats off to you ALL.

ValeoFX,

I would be happy to share it, with FX Sniper permission since this is his thread. Otherwise, PM me with your e mail address and I will oblige.

Another BULLSEYE

or shall we shall say, it is a BEARSEYE...

FX Sniper, please take a look at what you've done. I have made a couple of color changes and with the crossbar, it all aligned, the BuLLS and the BEARS, right before your eyes.

http://www.forex-tsd.com/attachment....1&d=1155411170

Is this simple enough? Will it be effective? We will soon see come Monday and the rest of next week.

SIMPLY

Sleepless in Manila (3:30 AM). Will be back in the USA next month. But I'd rather be in Spain (suitable, timewise, for FX trading).

I am sorry, I have uploaded the wrong file above. Here is the correct chart image shot of the BULLSEYE/BEARSEYE. Please note the indicator window #3; this is what I used before the FX Sniper version.

Thanks.
